Well...slight profanity, but it is overused, I was suprised to have seen profanity at all in a Sega game. Practically every time you get hurt in it Shadow says "DAMN IT!" and when you fall of a zone he says "Damn, not here!" Do you think a turn for a more mature "T Rated" audience is a good descision of Sega or do you think they should stay a "family directed" company?

I have the game, and it DOES say Damn a lot, but considering that it is hardley a bad word at all, that it is not censored on TBT, and the fact that there are many worse words sega could've used, I'm fine with it. But I practically freaked out when I heard Sonic say it.

Sonic doesn't need to be cursing that naughty little chipmunk. <_< I thought it was a children's game.

-_-

well i don't know if it was a good idea or not

:P it seams like shadow to say it, but sonic did o_o weird

I agree its not that bad of a word, but I still never thought say anything REMOTLEY bad in a Sonic game. There is also the whole gun thing and "sandbox style" being-able-to-kill-anyone thing. It really seems like Sega is trying to get more mature gamers to play their games, but while doing that they are leaving their younger gamers in the dust.

In reality, what I think that sega was trying to do was what Nintendo has been always trying to do: Appeal to many different age groups. Although you can deafeat anything, when you defeat a GUN soldier, they aren't dead, only extremly weak. Also, the gunplay is very much like Tails' and Eggman's lasers in SA@ and E-102 Gamma's lasers in Sonic Adventure.

Yes but in that game you didn't have realistic weapons, like some of the weapons in this one i.e. Glock, pocket knife

I was overall dissapointed when I heard about Sega's decision to have Shadow shooting guns into everyone's guts. That's just not a Sonic game, you know? And profanity in a Sonic game is just wrong.

:P

But, it's not very realistic. When you defeat an alien, they go away in a puff of green smoke. when you defeat a GUN soldier, they fall down. When you defeat a GUN Robo, they blow up. the game says Damn and Hell. Woopidi-Frikkin-Doo!!!

I was thinking the same thing. It is a bit weird and Sega should get back to the more peaceful games. Though I do think that a Shadow the Hedgehog free roam game in a huge city would be awesome.

I don't ming it either but it isn't used well and it isn't something that you'd expect from Sega especially in a Sonic games (even thouugh it is Shadow).

I don't think they should alienate their current Sonic fans just to get more mature ones. I don't mind cursing in games like Halo and stuff because those are meant for older kids, but for swearing in a kid-friendly Sonic game it is unexpected.

You guys have to realize that damn is not a sacred word. Trust me. Just because they swear in a game doesnt make it teen. It has to have multiple catagories. As you can find, some teen games have only one thing. This is because it doesnt show all the e rated material in it

You should stand next to some Marines in Halo 2, that's what gave it it's M-rating. Profanity goes right past me, honestly. But I think they only put it in there so that people will think it's for older people. <__<

Damn isn't very bad. I say it all the time. I just think its funny when a cartoon video game character says it.
 Imagine Mario saying damn.

I have been playing Sega/Sonic games for years and years and in my opinion when they put SA2 on the GC that was the sign that Sega had sold out. It was enough that they had to put existing Sonic games on the GC but making new one's...blasphemy Sonic went out in a blaze of glory on the Dreamcast. Now keeping in mind I haven
