problems with plot resetting?

im plot resetting for a villager and he moved into the exact same spot like five times in a row? the plot is there on the title screen too? i started plot resetting after six am what is happening here

Are you plot resetting with a new character every time (new save file)?

Is there stuff blocking out other areas where they could set up camp?

It could also just be really bad luck, since villagers tend to seem to prefer certain spots. I've had it happen.

If it happens a few more times, then I'd check if there's enough space to put his house elsewhere, as suggested.
