I would love to pre-order it from Gamestop, since by its release I should have the Switch, because they always offer a pre-order bonus like a poster or whatever.

But I'm not gonna pre-order it until probably a month or two in advance. We don't even know anything about the game yet, so there's no point in placing a pre-order so early. It's possible they're partially trying to bargain off of people's excitement. It's best to wait a bit longer.

I don't even have a Switch yet. Like many of you I am a devoted Animal Crossing fan, with 3,451 hours in ACNL so far. Because of the way I am about Animal Crossing, I will probably use my Switch only for AC-2019 and would be buying it just for that game. So, I'm going to get a Switch as soon as a release date for AC-2019 is announced. It's not that I care about a special edition Switch. I really don't; it's just that I want to be more reassured about the game actually being released absolutely definitely for sure, before spending that much money on the Switch.

I'll probably pre-order the AC-2019 game when I order my Switch.

Anyway, this is my PLAN, if I have enough self control to wait. I was drooling over the Switch online just this afternoon, and searching on various specs and so on.

Nah, I won't pre-order until we have a release date at the very least.

I don't have a switch yet - i might wait and see the special one, i might get one before. I dont know.

I'm going to wait until more information is released. Besides, I don't even have the Switch yet; I was waiting for the new AC game to be announced first. Aside from that, even if I absolutely love the game's previews down the road I won't pre-order unless there is an incentive involved (discount, free gift card, etc.). Otherwise I'll just grab it wherever. I've never had an issue getting a game in the past unless it was already too old.

I already have a pre-order for Smash and I'm planning one for the new Fire Emblem. Animal Crossing isn't one of those "must buys" for me, although I probably will at some point.

I'll pre order when it's closer to release, no sense in dropping valuable money at the moment.

It could be close to release, but I have a scary feelings that it will be a holiday release, which is great I guess because better sales. I seriously want this game to do great, because the console versions of animal crossing have never lived up to their handheld counterparts, but since the Switch is a hybrid anything could happen.

If it's so close though why didn't they show any gameplay instead of just a title screen? I hope this isn't their new trend, they did that with Smash, Metroid Prime 4 and now animal crossing.

like someone said i'm waiting for a gamestop preorder for the points. my sisters just bought me a switch last week i'm so happy. :-)

I already have a switch, and seeing how you can't transfer game data from console to console like you could with 3DS', I hope I don't like the bundles. I can't justify buying another switch. Still, It won't be anything less than $59.99 anywhere. Best Buy is doing away with GAME this year, as is Amazon Prime with it's Prime game perks. I'm picking it up regardless on that day.

I never preorder a game, I just go to my local shop and buy it there, had never problems with
it. Besides that, pesonally, I wouldn't already preorder a game where we don't even know the
official release date or any informations in general (I mean, we don't even know the title so
far).

I think the pre-order is honestly a scam. It doesn't even have an exact title or cover yet, so I wouldn't even breathe near it. Y'all are hyping yourselves up too much, just wait till it actually shows up on Nintendo's website.

They are a scam. There's little to no benefits of pre-ordering; any 'bonus' you get doesn't hold any real monetary value (often only costing cents to make in bulk) and stores stock more than enough for everyone. I live in a fairly small city, and my local EB Games has told me they get 5000 copies and will often have a thousand left over at the end of the month. And if by chance they don't have it, another store will likely have it. Just a small inconvenience in having to go to a different store.

Don't have a switch so I'm saving to get a collector bundle hehe !

Oop meant to pick the third option.

Honestly if the Let's Go Bundle wasn't released with an actual unique Switch Tablet I wouldn't be having problems trying to wait and see if any more interesting systems would pop up, since I could've just bought a Neon Red/Blue Switch and have bought Pink/Green joycons. :p

Oh and even if I had a Switch I still wouldn't had pre ordered unless the pre order bonus is really really interesting.

I already have my Switch so I'll be preordering the moment it's listed on the eShop.

Didn't know pre-orders were available :o but to say nothing but the title card has been released, it's sure expensive, the only game I've seen over ?50 is Breath of the Wild, and that's only ?52, AC is ?60 with no information released about it lol.

Pretty sure the price is a placeholder. I doubt that Nintendo gave out informations already. So we have to wait and see :) I will preorder the game on gamesonly (Austrian shop) once the preorders are avaible. I also want to see some actual gameplay before I buy anything.

I think I'll be waiting until there is more definite information about the game - date of release, etc. I haven't even bought a Switch yet, although I may be getting one in early December; I'm listing it as my reward for winning NaNo this year.

I'll be pre-loading as soon as it becomes available on the eShop. I plan on buying a physical copy as well for collection purposes.

Lol I don't even plan on getting AC Switch.

That's nice dear, please don't spam up this thread or any of the others within this sub-forum then if you have no interest in the game.

The price is legit, that much is certain. New Leaf may have launched at a lower price than what the norm was for 3DS games, but I can assure you that the Switch game won't. It's a new console game that Nintendo knows will sell more than pretty much any other title they could potentially release barring Pokemon, it'll be priced for maximum profits.

Okay, so if you don't know, Bestbuy, or GAME out of NA, are starting up pre-orders for the game at $59.99.

What do you think? Are you gonna take the plunge? For me, I'm just going to wait until it comes out on Amazon Prime, so then it's like $15 cheaper im such a cheapskate.

Also, do think this means that the game's closer than we think? Pokemon has no pre-orders available, yet ACFNS* has the pre-orders!

(*What I'm gonna name it. It's way to hard to say Animal Crossing Switch every time)

Anyways, yeah. I want to see thoughts on the topic, since it's like the only piece of news so far...

Yeah, about that. Amazon did away with the 20% discount on pre-orders last month. They offer a $10 coupon on some pre-orders which the issue a month or so after the game released, but that is only on select titles.

The only thing about the price is that it may be $59.99 in America but that doesn't translate to the ?59.99 that has been placed on the game outside of America, that makes it more expensive outside of America and I don't think that's what Nintendo is going for. That's why we think the non-American prices are placeholders. ($60 would translate to about ?45 and ?60 is about $78. I don't doubt that the $59.99 price is correct but the English price doesn't seem to make sense at this present moment.

Argos always has a million copies of every game so when a new game comes out, me and my freinds just head to KFC, then go to Argos to buy it, so I'm gonna do the same with this.

Lol I don't even plan on getting AC Switch.

What even my man, why not. Genuinely curious.

*hits the preorder button faster than the speed of light*

Right now I don't really see the point of preordering when there's no information on release date and a potential for a bundle coming out. I'm pleased, and shocked, that they got preorders out so early though! Just confirms it even more that Nintendo are onto it :)
