[Preditions] Features that will be added vs won't be added

inspired by this thread Things from past AC games there's not present in New Horizonts. except, predictions for things you think that will be added and won't be added. i'll try to bump some of y'all predictions on future updates, so this should be fun.

will be added
perfect fruit - i feel like this could be tied to the vegetable rumors
cafe
deep sea diving
dream suite
gyroids - though they are annoying to collect after a while
new/returning pwp's but only on abd (not via isabelle)
older furniture series
mini games on our in-game switches
morning aerobics - has a chance of returning as an event / sports week
Kapp'n - probably will be a summer event or something, and we'll be able to visit him & co. like the island we visited on May Day and met Rover. imagine if it's the EXACT same new leaf island? i would SCREAM!!!!!!
Dr. Shrunk - some of my villagers mentioned him, i have a feeling he'll be joining us for an event
Gracie - once we completed Label stuff, she might drop by to check on her

won't be added
goodbye letters - they already started not giving them so....
designs on tree stumps - don't think they'll just suddenly make these appear out of nowhere
photo booth
villagers visiting our houses
Harriet - i could argue that she could appear to give some new hairstyles, but they give new updates on the abd so i doubt it.. she wasn't even on pocket camp, she really went away to start her etsy wig business during the pandemic
Cyrus crafting - there could be an event where he'll give you new diy's but that's it, he's not customizing for us anymore

i'm on the fence about police station, you'd think they'd be useless because it's all in residential services now but nintendo could have a few tricks on their sleeve

Interesting that you think Cyrus won't be doing his thing anymore. I took all the color variations of mass-produced furniture that we can't customize ourselves to be a sign that he's going to return and show us how it's really done with his "master" level customization skills!

that's interesting as well (and a good take) that we cannot customize nook-bought furniture, except the pattern designs. but i feel like it was just nintendo promoting the online subscription so we'd trade with people. the outdoor furniture via nook miles too.

I don't see why they wouldn't add in the tree stump patterns.. i mean.. how could they not? Seems like it wouldn't take too long to add to the game. Then again it's not in the base game so you may be right.

I really do hope they add in a post office or something, sending mail was way easier in NL. And a lil post office building would be so cute, even if it's just connected to the airport!


Another thing I hope/predict they bring back is the different Town Hall/Train Station exteriors you could choose from in New Leaf. Would be nice if the exteriors also included the pathway the building sits on, so instead of the plaza being brick, it could be cobblestone or wood.

i could see how you dont think goodbye letter wont be coming back, but i sincerely hope so as well as villagers visiting our houses! T^T i loved setting up times for villagers to come over and for the most part i would miss them, but it was still very fun </3 im hoping a social media app will be added or a weather app, they could be so cute & useful!

my reasoning for the stump patterns is that we were supposed to get them depending on the axe used, so for those to appear they'd have to give us new axe options. i just don't know if it's something they'd add.

are people who tt'ed ahead able to get mushrooms? or this is also just a potential fall update?

I'm in fall, and yes, mushrooms and mushroom diys are appearing.

I had no idea about the different axe options! Maybe in a future update? It's strange that the axe is one of the few tools that isn't customisable

oh cool. i did hear about the mushrooms, i just wasn't sure. i only know of the diy's. silly me, of course mushrooms are an ingredient. but they basically appeared on new leaf frequently if you had the special tree stumps. looks like they'd appear now regardless anyway.
