Powersaves on New Game Cartridge? Help!

Recently I've seen several threads talking about powersaves - so I hope this won't get closed by an admin.

I recently got a second physical copy of ACNL just to use the action replay powersaves on {NOT to be confused with save editing and hacking} as I was hoping to get some items without purchasing the amiibos. Everytime I insert my game though I get the error "unsupported game". I could have sworn though I read on the forums how powersaves updated with the new items, so I am wondering if there is anyone who could actually confirm wether or not powersaves work with the new update, and if you could specify which cartridge you have (I'm using the newer one that says welcome amiibo not an older one that was update online}.

If you do not feel comfortable posting publicly please just PM. But please no comments shamming those who use powersaves, I am only posting on here because I haven't been able to find any other info else where and would like to try and narrow down the problem.

Also, I just started a new town, if that may be another reason why it's saying unsupported ?

Powersaves does work with the new update. Make sure your powersaves is the latest version.

I just downloaded what was on the site , I'm going to assume it was the latest version

I also just transferred my digital copy to the physical one as I had already unlocked most things and was past a certain point in the game, but it still won't work :l
