Okay, so the title is a little misleading... just a little, sorry about that.

Essentially I want to call on you guys to help me... I have just been given free reign of my little boys' towns, Trexten and Emems. My boys still play, but rarely and they have asked for my (and by extension, your) help. We want to theme the two towns and need to brainstorm ideas with you clever people!

Trexten belongs to my older son, who is absolutely obsessed with post apocalyptica. Cobb is pretty much his only dreamy at the moment, because he looks so perfect, as does Kyle and poor old Lucky... Current ideas include dirt paths, empty branch "perfect tree" trunks and stumps, probably weeds and clovers too.

Emems is my younger son's and he has been talking to me about a "toy box" theme. So villagers like Stitches and Pietro and lots of bright colours... think "Kiddie" theme furniture and colours, but outside too. Lots of different fruit trees and flowers of all colours... and of course a full PWP playground!

What other villagers/PWP's and ideas would work for these themes? Please help make my little boys' towns as awesome as possible!

Any ideas and help would be much appreciated... I have a lot of work ahead of me fixing up these two towns, as well as maintaining Bevelle and developing my own second town, Azura...

hmmm sounds like fun! for the apocalypse town maybe lucky because idk.... he is funny and cute... even if he doesnt want him he would fit into the theme perfectly!

This sounds like so much fun!! I love this idea.

For your older son, Lucky sounds perfect. I also love the idea of using spooky furniture or the Halloween sets that come out. Maybe the bus stop PWP to make it rainy and a creepy spot??? I would add lots of the spooky furniture. I would add the custom sign PWP and make creepy ones. Like skeletons or "dead inside" (walking dead hahaa) something eerie.

For the toy one, the playground sounds like the perfect set up. And those arches PWP? That would be super cute and toy themed.

Brilliant responses thank you! I had forgotten about the balloon arch! And never thought about the spooky set either... I will definitely add those to the list! Thank you so much! :)

I feel like the spooky set isn't exactly fit for a post apocalyptic town because despite looking very Halloweeninsh, it's very bright, cheerful and fun looking. Using one or two items wouldn't hurt, though. As a matter of fact the spooky set would be pretty fitting for your other son's Toy Box theme.

When picking out villagers for the town's, try to take in not only the villager's appearance, but their home's appearance as well, interior and exterior. Gaston would be great for your post apocalyptic town because his house is a dirty abandoned mess.
Stitches is a must have for your Toy Box town. And perhaps Peaches too, because her eyes are x's just like Stitiches, giving her the "stuffed animal" look.

Thank you for the input... I agree that the spooky set is a bit more Halloween, but I think there are a couple of things that might work well... we are going for more of a barren wasteland look though (pretty much the opposite of most villages, haha!). I will check out Gaston, thanks for the tip off! The reason he is so set on Cobb is because his house is perfect for the theme... I need to have a look through the villagers houses list, but there are soooo many!

The creepy furniture would work better. Add a graveyard outside with some torch PWP.
The lab set in the basement with some hospital items. Look for QR codes from HHD that had blood on them.
Sloppy furniture to make the room look a mess.

Brocollo is a another one that would fit in your Toy Box theme. Some of the Easter items could work.
Would the rocket from Toy Story work and maybe some space items. All the bears would work too. You can redone some of their clothing or the bear.

maybe some tombstone QR codes or if you can find some tombstone furniture items.... use them for the house

For your older son's town, I would def. suggest the streetlight PWP--the one that looks like a wooden pole with a crooked shade hanging off of it. Perhaps the pile of pipes, caution sign, and/or drilling rig PWPs, too. Also, maybe a kitchen or dining hall with normal food items, but the ramshackle (or "old") wall and floor and a bunch of haz-mat barrels around, because the food is radioactive. For villagers, I'd suggest Frita--she is such an unusual villager, being made of food, that she could pass for a post apocalyptic mutant-hybrid.

Oh my goodness guys, thank you so much! You are all amazing! So many ideas now... better get planning!

Wow, that sounds like a lot of fun!

One villager that comes to my mind for your older son's town is Rasher. He doesn't seem to have a cranky in his town yet, and Rasher's design looks like as if he has been through some post-apocalyptic places. But seeing as how he has a pig villager, I'm not so sure if he'll be fine with Rasher. I'm only saying that because I've seen other people who want variety in their town however, but it's just a thought. As for the town itself, I suggest making the Town Ordinance Night Owl. As odd as that sounds, it would fit the theme of a post-apocalyptic town much better. Not to mention that more weeds and wilted flowers will appear by doing so. Don't take my word of advice too seriously though, because I admittedly haven't read many post-apocalyptic stories, haha. I was also going to suggest Boomer as another villager he might like for his town, but that villager would fit better in a war-based town.

As for your younger son, I feel as if Mira would be a nice villager for him. She's bright, colourful and is dressed up like a superhero. Superhero action figures tend to be found in most toyboxes. As for PWPs, I think that the Tire Toy, the Balloon Arch and the Chair Sculpture would go nicely in this colourful town. And of course, you'd also need the climbing frame since your younger son wants to build a playground area. I also think that some of the Fairy Tale PWPs could work too. Also, if your younger son chooses to design his house similarly to the town, then I think he should get all of the Balloon Furniture. I also think it would be great if his house was inspired by some villager houses, namely Stitches and Pietro's houses.

Good luck to you and your sons! I hope both of them will have tonnes of fun creating their towns. c:
