I've been thinking about buying another new leaf game so I can make a Over The Garden Wall themed town. Its suppose to be horror/mystery, and I already have the characters I want to use, but would it be a good idea? Because I feel like some stuff wouldn't really fit (like the cafe and retail), it just seems like those might be a distraction. And I have some pictures of what the shows like if you haven't heard of it (just so you get an idea of what its like) :)

Really like your theme and pix. Perhaps select a layout where the conflicting businesses, etc, can be reasonably well hidden in a remote corner screened by trees?

I say go for it! It sounds like a cool idea to go for. :)

I agree with spreading out the buildings and villager homes to be surrounded by trees. I think the Roost could still fit in your town. It's got that warm brown going on and you can always make it look creepy with bare trees or creepy paths. I'd definitely use Cooper and go zen or modern with your town hall and train station. Good luck! :)

Looks neat
Set it to autumn for the tree colors
Lots of trees and rock patterns
With Re-tail and the cafe, not everything has to fit 100%. It's just how the game is and you have to accept that. You can surround them by trees to try and make it look more remote?
