I had the same thought the other day. With 100 million in the bank and all of the PWP, house upgrades, furniture and clothes I want... Well, I don't need the Bells. If Blathers wants my spare fossils, why can't I give them to him? I'd love to buy house upgrades for all of my villagers, too.

I wouldn't mind giving Blathers my fossils, i've never been a big fan of putting them in my house or anywhere else, so I have no use for them so i'd definitely be happy to give them to Blathers so he can achieve his dream ^-^!
