I just got a pet pomeranian and she is very nice and gentle. She never barks at people. I want to teach her tricks but how do I do that? This is my first dog but I've petsit dogs before. So how to I home train a dog?

I never tried training my dog yet, but I think you need to do the "trick" repetitively.
After she keeps getting and doing the trick correctly, give her a very small treat.

To get her to do something when you command/say a word, show her the action and keep repeating the word over and over again.

Ohhh Pom tricks -.- I thought you meant..

Anyways I have no knowledge of dogs, But maybe try and get it to obey you.
Then when it does, try and keep on saying "sit" and keep trying. If he/she doesn't then you sit aswell.

Like I said I have no knowledge in dogs, Just thought this could help.

Meant? Lolololololololololool.

awww Pomeranians are so cute =3

anyways, I have a dog and the first trick I taught her was sit .. because it's easy. Just make sure to buy LOTS of dog treats. You want to sternly say the command and then give a hand motion (keep both of these constant so your dog learns them). In the beginning you are going to actually have to push your dogs butt down to make it sit. And then you give it a treat. Soon, it will do it on it's own but keep in mind it takes awhile and lots of patience, they won't learn overnight.

So just make sure to be repetitive, give treats, be patient, and be stern when saying the command. good luck =)

And no one gave you the right to unjustly call this man a dumb*censored.2.0*.

I agree with the 1st and the 3rd.

I had 7 dogs at one point, (IRL no nintendogs lol)
Its basically what someone said earlier about getting LOADS of treats and making them sit at first then gradually making them do it on their own

Don't teach it tricks. Just treat it like a normal dog. You probably don't work in the circus so why teach it tricks? Also, DO NOT give it man made treats and food. Just give it what you normally eat.

Most foods we eat arent sutible for Dogs. (i.e Chocolate)
Its better to get some good quality dog food and buy gravy, Dogs LOVE that

No, Ham and Beef are only really for 'once in awhile'
To much will make the dog fat :/
