I've had this problem too but I can fix it (or at least spread out the time) by redeeming the Nook Miles more frequently. With the crafting thing, there is no choice. I don't even make fish bait because it's so annoying unless I'm trying to catch a string fish or golden trout.

It would be nice to be able to redeem for NMT in bulk too.
But sometimes I want to save my Nook Miles due to future updates with new emotions and hairstyles. I'm just a lazy collector. This and when you need to spend miles to get a miles bonus for spending... Miles. Haha.

Villager interaction:
Not a quality of life option per se but ... let the villagers interact with outdoor items or at least Nook Miles items. You can design the cutest playgound, the coolest outdoor gym or the most beautiful campsite area but everything seems so lifeless since no villager will actually interact with anything. Yes, they will sit on a bench or on the jungle gym but nothing else. Makes me sad and it is definetely a missed opportunity to breathe some life into villagers and the island life.

Villager dialogue variety:
Love the little personalities and how every villager has a style (play, nature, music, etc). But they still repeat the same mundane things over and over.... Yes, I got a lot of fossils assessed yesterday. Yep, buried some bells and caught a lot of fish... That's cool dialogue the first time a villager says it, but if two or more villagers make a comment about it the same day... it gets boring. Love the games decoration options but the villagers could have been more fleshed out.

Shopping for clothing items:
For quality of life changes I'd really love the option to buy more clothes per visit of the dressing room. For example, "press the Y button to add an item to your cart" or something along those lines. It's a hassle to have to visit the stall four or more times in a row just to get every color option of a clothing item you like. Similarly, why do I have to remove the wand outfit first before a purchase?

Like everyone else here, I want them to add more furniture sets. And also, I want them to consider making other variants accessible without online play. I know that you can acquire them by popping balloons and buying from Redd. However, that's not enough for me.

I would love them to make the color variants accessible . Not everyone wants to trade online. I’m hoping if they have another upgrade for nooks they take the color lock away. With nook miles items I don’t think it would be too hard for them to once in while to have different color items.

Online play could definitely use an upgrade. It would also be a great excuse to bring back Kappn and his family. There’s only so much we can do online. At least in acnl we did have mini games and exclusive items to earn that kept it fun.
Kapp'n and his family makes sense to bring back since they are all tropical, but I don't want them tp be in charge of the mini games and such. I want new mechanics and new characters. We need some fresh changes with meaty content!

I agree with everything you just said. I miss when villagers showed emotion and life. I have never seen my normal villagers use an angry emotion such. But the dialogue is in dire need of an upgrade.

Only thing I wanna add to the Able Sisters is that there be a mirror and a wardrobe inside the store.

It is a good list, but I had to choose Crafting (the process is ridiculous when it comes to bulk crafting) and new gameplay (collecting & exploring) simply because I love collecting stuff for the Museum (and I am getting close to finishing it... which is nice but sad, expansion please!). I would like to see more for that whether it was about the museum or something else thought up. And It would be nice to see more stuff off the main island on trips or whatever for exploration.

I voted "something else"...because we need more design slots for custom patterns. If you use even one custom path, you loose a ton of the slots just from all those pieces. The fact that they added more storage for your home is great...but I haven't even filled that. Pattern storage would have been better, IMO.

More items, clothing, etc. They gave us bigger storage but yet we don't have the items to fill it lol rip

They should have different sections with 40 slot each or so like: Paths, Artworks, and so on. That way it would also look cleaner and easier to choose where your designs are going.

When you think about new gameplay and collecting, do you have any idea as on what? Because when I made the poll I tried to think what would be the next logical thing to collect but... It's hard haha.

Speaking of QoL updates, there are apparently nothing new implemented in this update.
Yeah, I have said this to some friends: This update is actually the weakest one since the game launched. Normally we get a new gameplay machanic to each update. This one was just a copy paste for the events. Heck, we didn't even get confirmation in the trailer if like New Leaf, for Turkey Day you had to collect ingriedients such as Butter, Milk, Sugar, Vinegar and more to make the foods. They only showed the pumpkins now...

I really expected cooking to be a new DIY app anf mechanic. Collecting food recipes and making them with fish and new veggies to farm.
