poll: have you ever been ice skating?

I used to be in an a hockey team when I was 13 lol. But I quit because of health reasons.

I've only been a few times, we have a place pretty close by but we hardly go. Last time I went was probably more than 5 years ago... I remember not falling too many times when we went to the indoor one, but we went to an outdoor one one time when I was way littler and I fell SO MANY times! I remember the families standing on the outside(strangers to me) leaning over the railing to help me back to my feet cause my mom was being rude and just leaving me on my own even though I didn't know how. I remember the last time I went though walking on the little mats in my skates and dancing around off the ice, and then the pain in my feet after I took my skates off cause I laced them so tight. It would be fun to go again but I am scared since it's been so long that I would fall a bunch....

I've only been once, as part of an activity week at shool a few years ago. Most people, including me, were completely new so the teacher with us advised that we stick really close to the side to start with, so we had something to grab onto if we fell. Then about fifteen minutes in, before anyone had gotten the hang of it, they sectioned off part of the rink for the little kids with there parents to have a go. (they had these penguin things to hold onto so they could stay upright, it was so cute!) Since we were no longer allowed in that area, we had to go past without the side to cling to. Cue painful falling.

I did eventually get the hang of it, and I'd probably jump at the chance to go again, but I'm not actually sure where the nearest rink is anymore...

I've only skated twice in my life even though there's a skating rink in my neighborhood. Fell both times, and even though it's scary I enjoy the experience!

I learned ice skating when I was like 7 and then I joined a hockey club in Junior High. Never really enjoyed ice skating after that and never been to skating arena anymore since the beginning of Senior High. I prefer football, I guess

I've always loved ice skating. I usually just throw myself into it and somehow manage to not fall over (despite how bad my balance is).

Yes, I took skating lessons when I was younger and every now and then my mom still takes my sister and I ice-skating. There are multiple ice rinks near our house. c:
