Although it's an April Fools I thought it was a really good idea and a really cool trailer.

What do you think and what ideas have you had for a new game?

Stop..making.. cities, like the New Mauville-ish shopping mall thing and the the big circle in X/Y

AND IMPROVE GTS. Seriously, you shouldn't be able to trade legendaries.

For a new Pokemon game they should go really ambitious and have every Pokemon available by default during your journey. I don't mean these 'friend safari' and other things you unlock after the league, I mean actually during the course of the game you can catch all the Pokemon.
I'm just kinda sick of going through entire games and being limited to a large handful of Pokemon when there's others I would much prefer. I mean, I love Shinx/Luxray but I've only had the opportunity to catch and play through a game with her once, with X/OR happening post game when I had done everything.

True, it would be a HUGE game and there would arguably be too many Pokemon...So maybe some sort of 'randomization' feature where each area has pre-set Pokemon (as usual) and a handful of 'random' Pokemon that appear only for your game. Each time you start a new game, these 'random' Pokemon change and each player has a different experience since they all have different Pokemon appearing.

They also need to get rid of the idea of having 2 different versions or bring a new legit reason for them both to exist.
Right now having two different versions is nothing but a small inconvenience since you can get those Pokemon online within minutes, so the idea of having two versions is nothing but an expensive tradition at this point.
Story is kind of different with each version I suppose but in reality, all that's really different are minor changes to the antagonist with the story staying almost the same otherwise. It's not worth having a different version for what little difference the story brings.

I wouldn't mind if there were another good and worthwhile reason for having two versions like trading used to be but at this point it's really unnecessary and outdated...They really need to implement something new or just get rid of the format.

Well said. I don't really get the two versions either lately since most are old Pokemon that differs and you can get them one way or the other. The only major changes was in B2/W2 with the old v. modern towns and such but yeah money and they need the "two main game and a third in the series(maybe not lately)" for some reason.

Also they should stop region locking the events. Is it so hard to make a Shiny Rayquaza available worldwide?!

Well, they should stop region locking things entirely at this point...

But I really do agree with the events. It's all done online now anyway with stores having to do almost nothing, so it really doesn't make any sense whatsoever. I mean, I don't even have to go into the stores anymore, I just stand outside and download it via their local wireless, or ask them to print out a code if I don't have my 3DS and download it at home...Why does that need to be region locked?

Especially now that they create actual unique Pokemon for events these days instead of everybody inevitably getting a rare legendary like Mew. 'Giant Pumpkaboo' for Halloween is something everybody should have been able to get.

Giant Size Pumpkaboo was always available through normal gameplay.

I don't really know about Pumpkaboo, but I meant generally just shiny Pokemon etc that a lot of people probably just don't really want to put so much effort into getting. I probably should have used practically any other event Pokemon for that comparison xD

It kind of just makes events and event Pokemon 'not that special'.

Like, getting Mew back in the day was a really big deal. These days I'm kind of like "yea, I'll get this weeks event Pokemon if I happen to be in town".

Admittedly it was difficult. I spent a couple hours each day for a few weeks just searching for it and never found one.

I would like a more open ended game that isn't just stuck in one world. I liked what Heartgold/Soulsilver/Silver/Gold did when you could then go and do Kanto after you were done with Johto. I'd love to revisit all of the old zones. Don't make it a game you can finish in a couple of days, and make it feel more like an adventure.

Yeah the game itself seems hard to poke them for but event, what's the difference in making a Japanese thing available worldwide, it's like unless it's a AAA legendary/starter we don't get it at all :(

Yeah this wireless thing. It's not like it's hard being around the corner and pop their legendaries lol.

That's something I'd like to see, being able to travel to and from each of the regions. However, I'm not sure how that'd work out in the long run. Maybe after you reach the elite four/champion you can chose to each either (a)"lock" your Pokemon at/under level "X" in a computer until such-and-such a time or (b)down-level your Pokemon to level "X" or (c)each region has stronger level wilds/trainers. I dunno...

I dont think that would work well. Inifinity sounds like gates to infinity and zero sounds cheap

Well it was a joke.

Yeah they'd probably get some lawsuit for these names if they actually did them, I presume.

Well this could easily be "fixed" with pokemon receiving less experience, so the game would be paced out more in terms of levelling.
