I forgot to take my 3DS with me to GAME yesterday.Although there were no posters / ads about it or anything in there. Maybe because it was a really small shop?

Just a heads up, the code you are given at the till is one use only, I just entered it on X and got my Charizard with the Y Mega Stone but when I attempted to use the same code on Y it was declined for being used already. So if you want both Charizards you should take both games with your 3DS to GAME and download in-store, get two codes on separate occasions or a mix of both. I'll take my 3DS with me to the GAME store near where I'll be going on my holiday to get my other Charizard since I have no reason to be going anywhere near my town centre before the event ends now

That is not a good idea. The GAME staff member who answered my call said that they were specifically told to not print out those codes unless the in-store Wi-Fi is not working...
I recently sold my Pokemon X copy after finishing the story line. I often get bored after finishing the story itself, so I thought that I may as well sell it while it's going for a good price.

I think our store must be an exception because of the increase in pickpockets and bag thieves in my town (I am especially cautious as my camera got stolen along with my purse a few weeks ago, so not risking my 3DS and copies of X&Y), the store manager at my GAME said it was okay to do so as long as the staff didn't give out the codes to people who weren't buying anything. My GAME store isn't that busy anyway, it is only kept open because it has a high footfall due to it having two entrances, so they are kind of desperate to keep customers. (I only stay buying in-store there because the staff are nice and I do have some of their FCs on my 3DS)
Thinking about it, I have to go into town to get my brother's birthday present so I'll risk my 3DS and Y then. I'm just being a completionist with the Mega Stones...

Don't worry, the distribution is meant to last until 10th August so you have plenty of time to either ask for a code or download it!I didn't know it could work that way.
My Charizard on X is okay, it has a attack reducing and defence raising nature so I don't know if that will be good for a Mega Charizard Y...

Your store manager is TOTALLY wrong...
There is no purchase necessary to get a download of the Mega Charizard...
I should know the ins and outs of GAME stores as I know all of the managers and all of the staff from the two stores that I frequently visit and your store manager should not be telling the staff to not do the codes unless the customer makes a purchase...

Okay, I'm just stopping here. I don't care how your store managers or my store manager are running the distributions as long as people are actually getting their Charizards. So far other people have got their Charizard through a code while others have been to the same store and downloaded it, it doesn't matter, either way those people are getting their Charizards! I assume that my GAME store is only doing the 'you have to purchase something to get your code' as they are limited in number and so don't want to waste them. Also you know only two store managers and their staff, not all of GAME'S employees or everyone in charge of GAME, so those two stores could be the minority or they could be majority, we don't know, so don't take their word as law and I won't take mine as law either. There I'm done, I'm not talking about the specifics of my store or your stores anymore.
