I signed up for the newsletter but got the demo from facebook. Hopefully I'll get it from the newsletter as well so I can give it away to someone. No mail from Nintendo for now.

There's various other ways to get a code, even after today, for example purchasing Pokemon Art Academy. Serebii has them all listed, so you can check out the ways to obtain a code there.
