Pokemon Let’s Go pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee Nintendo Switch

Okay, I'm slightly disappointed in how much this seems based off of Pokemon Go as opposed to Pokemon Yellow... but maybe when I get further I'll be happier with it. I was happy to see that Pikachu is available in the wild just like in Red/Blue (it was not Yellow, so I wasn't sure) and I feel like going with Eevee has been a great choice for me!

It’s the Pok?mon Yellow story line with Pok?mon Go mechanics

I'm aware of this, that's the only reason I bought it (to relive my pixelated childhood). I just don't like not battling wild Pokemon. Throwing Pokeballs is like the main part of the game.

Does anybody else feel like the game is shorter than Pokemon Yellow/Red/Blue were? Like things seem bigger so there's less empty space and the character moves faster, so it just goes by way too quickly

Yes and no. You can definitely move faster in this game, but after having already played the old games knowing the story and where to go next also speeds up the game. Like when I was 10 and a complete Pok?mon noob it took me hours to stumble my way through the games. Now that I?m older and know a lot about the series it doesn?t take me long to beat even the new games never mind rehashings of games that I have played before.

While the games probably do play slightly faster, it?s more of the fact that we already know how to play a Pok?mon game and where to go/what to do next compared to when we played the originals.
