Niko here again with another stream, and this time I've decided that I want to play a game I like to call... Pokemon Gold. Oh hell yeah, my childhood roots have called me to play this game again, in honor of how awesome HG was. So yeah, I'll be streaming tomorrow with awesome commentary, priceless moments, and a fun time. I'll be streaming for pretty much the whole afternoon (with a few occasional snack/restroom breaks, but they're at most 10 minutes). I want you guys to decide which streaming site I should use, uStream (Lag, but great quality), Justin.tv (Hardly any lag, but not as great audio quality).

F.A.Q:
Q: When will the stream start?
A: 4 PM Eastern Time, but just in case something happens at the last minute I'll do it at 5 PM Eastern Time.

Q: May I request a certain pokemon for you to catch?
A: Not necessarily, BUT you can participate in polls to have me choose certain parts of the game ;) .

Q: How far are you playing to?
A: I'm not sure, probably to defeating Red.

Q: How come you're not responding to the chat? You jerk!
A: It's either because there's a pointless fight going on, or I'm busy with playing Pokemon Gold.

Q: Will I get instantly banned if I do something mildly bad?
A: No, but you'll get a 15 minute time-out. If you do something bad from the start (i.e. Spam the chat) then you'll be banned for a day. If you do 3 bad things, then you're out for good.

Q: Oh no! The stream disconnected!
A: More then likely it's because a relative is in my room. Don't worry, I'll warn you about it. Besides, it only lasts for about a minute.

Q: CAN I BE A CHAT MOD??!?!
A: Unless I can trust you and you're mature, then maybe.

Q: Are you playing on an illegal rom??
A: No. I'm using the Gamecube GBA Player (since it can play old GameBoy games).
(If you have any more questions, then PM me or post in this thread).

So are you going to just stream it? Or upload it to youtube perhaps?
I'll probably upload to both, but the YouTube videos will be uploaded probably after a few days from the stream.

Oh yeah, that's understandable. Gotta edit all stuff together. As well, you could stream for a good hour or two and you'll need to cut those down to some decent videos.
Ah man, I'm really looking forward to this.

JustinTV ftw though.
Yeah, I like JustinTV more ;) .
Yea, considering JustinTV is more of a gaming website than uStream you'll probably get more viewers coming in from just browsing through channels, too.

Yup :D .

Awesome, Gold is working like brand new! (I even have a gold colored gameboy layout for it all set to go). Make sure to tell even people that don't go on TBT about this!

I was just wondering, what screen recorder do you use for this. I have tried to broadcast a couple live and they have not been the greatest.

For JustinTV atleast, the best way to stream that I know of is with VHScrCap and Flash Media Encoder. JustinTV have plenty of guides on how to stream on their forums, there's a tutorials section dedicated to it.

It can be fairly complicated, especially if you're not computer savvy. It's a simple matter of making sure you have all the settings right, if it still doesn't look very good after that it's probably down to the fact either your computer or your internet sucks. You need a good processor and upload speed to stream well.

I use a capture card for my streams ;) .
But I'm guessing you stream from a console so that's a different situation.
Yeah, it's different settings, and I've realized it takes up more bandwidth using a capture card, rather then an on-screen computer streamer.
