I'm trying to look for a website where I can buy/import a copy of either Pokemon Black 2 or White 2 (Preferably Black 2), so far I've checked eBay but they're all from Hong Kong so I'm worried about high import fees or not receiving the game... So basically where is the best place to import this game? And it needs to be shipping to the UK...

EDIT: I've just looked at Play-Asia.com, does anyone know whether they ship to the UK? If they do would this be cheaper than going on eBay?
Also has anyone else imported Black/White 2, the story isn't too difficult to follow if you can't read Japanese? (Wow, I am in a curious mood today :P )

I'm just curious, why do you want to import? Why not just wait for it to be released in UK? I'd help you out but I don't know anywhere that you haven't already mentioned lol And if you can't read japanese, yes it be kinda hard to follow since in all pokemon games, people will hint at what you're supposed to do.

I kind of want to start playing now, because when the games are released in the UK I'll have just started college so I won't be able to play them as much as I'd like, plus I'm curious as to how difficult it would be not understanding anything that's going on...

But as it says on the page, most DSi Enhanced games are region locked.

Also, Pokemon games are fairly easy to understand even if you can't read Japanese. You'll miss out on a lot of dialog but the mechanics are exactly the same. I'm not sure if they ship to the UK, I would assume so though, and I doubt you'll find it cheaper on ebay.

Why they are region locked, if you use the DS Phat or DS Lite, you should be able to use it. I had seen someone who did that with Black and White, they had to use a DS Lite in order to play it.

Exactly. If you use a DSi then you probably won't be able to play an imported game since it's going to try and use features the DSi has that the previous DS systems don't, and it'll prevent you from playing. But if you play it on an original DS or a DS Lite, it won't have that extra stuff on it so it won't be able to recognize that it's imported.

Basically, the only way it can tell it's imported is if it's trying to use DSi programs. Otherwise you're good, the DS has been region free up until the 3DS.

I've still got my trusty old DS lite, so I should be fine playing it :) I'm also thinking of making a small list of item and attack names in Japanese to English so I'll know roughly what I'm picking up or what has been given to me and what attack I'm using...
Just checked on Play-Asia and they say that they "provide shipping to virtually any address in the world." so I think I'll go with them, just hoping that any customs charges won't be too high :/ Thanks for your help everyone :)

If you need help figuring out what moves are what, check bulbapedia or serebii. They have all of the moves listed in multiple languages.
