I kind of wish I had B/W so I could use Pokecheck and transfer a bunch of Pokemon up. I don't have any use for it because I don't own any other games, but I'll probably see if my friends can make me some Pokemon and give them to me :3

It's free, but I believe you have to pay yearly ($4.99 i think). But you get a free trial on your first month.

It seems "ridouclus" at first but Nintendo needs to manage the servers worldwide.
They are kind of dumb for not having a server per continent/region but I doubt they will never change it. 5 dollars a year isn't that bad, I spend more on school lunch a week lol.

Nintendo could not have possibly handled this any worse than they did. They didn't even announce when it went up! NO updates, NO apology, and not even one press release saying they were working on it for the entire six weeks it was down. This is just the latest in a string of terrible business choices Nintendo has made.

Just got PokeBank. Ugh it takes so long to load and the servers keep not working. -.-'
After it all got loaded, turns out you can only transfer one box of Pokemon at a time. So now I have to move all my Pokemon into one box and then have to wait for the long loading and then I have wait for the transfer. And then I have to repeat the process with like 300 Pokemon or something. ;.;

edit: that said, yes the bank is free to use for a month from the time you download it; and after the trial ends the $5 a year fee begins. Honestly, that's worth paying if you can afford it.
