Plot Resetting Tips?

Firstly, I know how to plot reset. I'm just a little frustrated with it, because no matter what the villagers seem to migrate to every area but where I want them!
And there's plenty of room for them to fit there as well.

So I was wondering if there are any extra tips I could use to get them where I want?

I know putting PWP's down in places you don't want them helps, but I'm expecting a dreamy to move in like, tomorrow, so I'm a little limited with that option.

Unfortunately, there's not much you can do other than place PWP's in those certain spots the key is patience. It sucks so bad and I know the feel, trying to get Daisy in the right spot was PAIN, but remember that if there's room, there's always a possibility a villager will move in, they just favour certain areas over others.

What I do is watch T.V or read a book while continuously pressing B to get rid of the dialogue, sometimes that passes the time. This probably doesn't help but I hope it could give you some ideas! Good luck

Aside from the PWP thing you mentioned, I can't think of anything since they plot on top of trees, flowers, items, anything. I'm not sure there is any other way. I guess you just have to have the patience and time.

I've read that if the plot seems to go only on certain spots, shutting down the 3DS completely and restarting to continue plot reset creates a new pattern of where the plot appears.. So you could try & shut down the 3DS once in a while when you plot reset, I guess?

I don't think there's a lot you can do tho.. It's randomly generated & depends if you get lucky or not.. xD Wish you luck!

Thanks for the responses <3 I was kind of hoping that maybe I'd missed some key element, like, if they're more likely to go towards an area with less villagers or something. I'll just be patient and hope for the best!
And maybe try to place a pwp in a spot I know I don't want them to head towards to help me out a little x_x

Pretty much what everyone else said.

Though, if the breakable rock appears in a spot you don't want them, don't break the rock. Though they can put their house down over pretty much every other piece of landscaping, I noticed that they can't plot over rocks. They can plot next to them, but not anywhere on top of them, which at least helps narrow down the field a little (I left a breakable rock in one piece for the longest time to keep the villager from moving there; with a river and a PWP close to the rock, there was no room for them to even attempt to put their house in that spot).
