When I was resetting for Fauna's move in, I booted up my game and on the screen before you start anything (where the ACNL logo comes up and you can see a random part of your town), I saw Celia walking around her house.
I saw that there was a new plot for Fauna right next to Celia's house (squashed my Perfect Pear trees), wedged between her and Colton.
My question is: if you can see the plot of a new villager on the starting screen, will it appear the same when you load your mayor? :O
if you load up your mayor, then yes, i believe so. (someone correct me if i'm wrong.) BUT, if you make a new character, she will not be in the same spot. (that's where plot resetting comes in.) hope i helped!
Yep! I loaded a new character because I didn't really want her wedged between Colton & Celia (there would be 1 square apart each house), and plotted her elsewhere.
I was just curious if I loaded my mayor, would I have seen her there. It would save on plot resetting for future characters if something like this happened again, and they plotted in a good spot.
not really . when i did plot reset. for example i can see fauna plot is near the slope down the beach. but when i load a new character the plot will always be elsewhere.
i guess the plot will be at diff place base on whenever the screen always show certain villager walking around in the town but once u load up they are at the different spot.
No, she wouldn't necessarily be in the spot you saw her on the home screen, unfortunately. That's just a preview of a possible state of your town, but it's randomised when you properly load the game.
I asked a question like this a while ago for Cousteau since I wanted absolute confirmation (that was the first time I saw him plot in the perfect spot after 2 days of plot resetting, ugh!) and I got a resounding no.
I did that before with Diana. I started up, saw on the screen that she was right next to Benjamin's house and when I started my mayor, she was plotted right behind my house instead. All I can say is never again will I assume.
Don't ever risk it (good thing you didn't btw). The house would have probably not been there since the start up screen is just showing what could be happening not what will happen. It's all random.
