Plot resetting help for a noob like me?

So I'm gonna reset in a min, I don't want to cause It was made on January 1st.
But the town feels like a mess, the houses are scatterd, Ken placed his house
in front of town hall, the train station color isn't right and I don't like pears.

It's honestly driving me insane, so I want to know how to plot reset.
It looks really difficult when I look at others, so I need help with it being explained better please?

If you know someone is gonna move in on a certain day. Absolutely do not load up your mayor that sets the plot in place permanently.

1. Start a new save file. It doesn't matter how you answer the questions unless you plan on keeping the character.

2. Look for the plot of the villager.

3. If you like where the plot is. Go through the registration with Isabelle and house placement with Tom nook.

4. Repeat steps 1 & 2 if you do not like the plot and then do step 3 when you do.

Villagers now won't plot of qr codes, so if you wish to you can cover your town with them. And leave certain spots uncovered.

You can delete the character either after loading up your mayor or the next day when the villager is moved in but in boxes.

plot resetting is honestly very easy to do, once you know how to do it

basically :

BEFORE STARTING :
Make sure you have a spot in your town where you are okay with ruining with your new villagers tent, clear out some flowers and stuff.


1. Set the time to 5:55AM~ you can set it even to 5:59, just make sure its BEFORE 6AM

2. Make a new character, doesn't matter what you name it, you're going to delete this later

3. Go through the intro part, the train stuff with Rover.

4. Once the train part is over and you are in your town, walk around until you see the plot of the villager you're expecting.

5. If the plot is in a good spot or a spot that you don't hate, etc, go to the townhall and talk to Isabelle, she will tell you to to go Nook's and make your house.

If the plot is NOT in a spot you like, reset without saving and repeat steps 1-4 again

6. Once you plot down your tent and get your TPC from Isabelle, save and quit. Delete the new villager you just made.

to make things easier would you not want to place paths down instead to force-move them that way? since the welcome amiibo update villagers don't move down on paths. it's a bit tiring at first having to lay the tiles down but once they're down correctly it makes things so so much easier

Lyman moved in a horrible spot and I didn't reset.. I just put X paths around him so he'll know he's not welcome.
