Plot resetting dilemma!

So I reset my town yesterday, and skipped a day ahead and decided to plot reset until I got a villager I wanted.

So I have the villager I was after but her plot is exactly where I wanted to get my second characters house!

So far I have had two Uchi, one normal personality. And a Curlos try to move in.

Will I be able to cycle around the resets to get her again any time soon?
Or is there a trick I can do to save her and just plot her somewhere else?

Or can I go back a day without a villager trying to move in and take that space with a character?

Then start again and get her?

You absolutely can reset for her on a different day, provided you don't let a villager of her personality type move in before she does!
It would be easiest if you left her until last, though.
Say she's an Uchi villager. You'd want to have a Normal villager and a Smug villager move in, bringing your total up to seven villagers. That way, your eighth villager will be Uchi no matter what, which leaves you a smaller pool of villagers. It just makes resetting a little easier. ^_^
