Plot-resetting confusion?

This happened to someone on FB yesterday and now it's happened to me.

I just got Frita last night. After plot-resetting a few times, I gave up and called it a night. I never loaded up my mayor or an existing character. Woke up this morning and tried some more; after 50 tries, her plot never once moved. Loaded up a new character again and now her house is there (as in built) and in the worse spot ever and ughhhhh. I've plot reset so much before and I'm not sure what I did wrong. Now I'm just really confused and disappointed. It took me forever to get her and I had to let one of my favorite villagers leave...

the spot you wanted for her is 100% possible, right?

no idea what happened there, maybe someone opened your game? do you have siblings or nosy parents? roomates?


this definitely should not have happened if you never loaded anyone, she shouldn't have had her built house at all if you didn't load anyone.

My entire town is pretty barren so she had tons of spots to pick from. I had just plot-resetted Bluebear not even an hour before I got Frita and there was no issues at all. I don't think anyone messed with it; I fell asleep with in my bed, as per usual, and no one would really touch it. :/

I used the system settings to go back and her house is gone, but the rooe is still there so
I'm assuming there's no gojng back.

Everyone keeps saying it's because a new day started, but I thought it didn't matter if I never load up.

agreed, that shouldn't happen.

you mentioned that you plot resetted bluebear. you 100% sure on the day she moved in (aka her house was built) frita's plot wasn't there, right?

because from your first post i understood that you were successfully plot resetting her before sleeping (successfully as in she was changing places lol)

BlueBear was already all set and roaming about when I picked up Frita.
Her house was on the map and everytning when I was plot-resetting because I thought maybe that's what threw it off so I wanted to be sure. Frita's house only moved about 15 times or so before I gave up. And then when I tried all this morning, it was that same spot, then house. :/ The girl that had the same thing happen to her ended up resetting because of it and I won't do that, it's just frustrating because it's such an awkward spot.

it's awful when that happens, specially when it's a villager you like ): maybe you can make it work, somehow? did it do something going another day back?

I haven't tried that yet; I had to leave as soon as I was gonna try. I don't think it's going to help. :/
When I went back a day, the plot went back to being a rope one and it stayed in the same spot.
But I guess it can't hurt to keep trying before giving up.

Well.. if she's settled down on that spot and there's no going back, I guess the only thing you can do is make it work somehow... like, plan how to landscape properly the are near her house~

Omg I'm no longer the only one to have this happen to them!!
Last year or so I was plot resetting Roald but in my second reset it just skipped ahead from being a roped off area to his house being built and him unpacking! I have no idea what caused it cuz I'd succsessfully plot resetted my other dreamies, but Roald was just in a mad rush to move in :u

You're definitely not the only one, lol.
There's 3 of us I know of now.
I'mma just try to accomadate her the best I can.
I like her too much to just kick her out.

did you leave your game on with a character so that it rolled past 6am in-game? The only thing I can think of is when Isabelle autosaves at 6am in-game. But I don't know if she does that with new villagers or not. Sorry to hear this happened to you!
