plot resetting but same villager?

this is like the 5th time ive plot reset & gayle just keeps coming in random spots in my town. its always gayle so im concerned if i did something wrong?

It will always be Gayle, unfortunately. The Villager selecting trick will only work if you do it with a campsite, Sorry if this was not the answer you were looking for

No I thought I have heard of people "plot resetting for a villager" and had different villagers pop up each time

unless you got it from street pass or someones void

I'm currently villager resetting on my boyfriend's new town and I've seen Rodney pop up multiple times...as well as Chops. But they don't keep popping up every time.

If she came in from someone's void or something, I guess that could explain why she keeps showing up for you.

i havent had anyone come to my town but in the doctors yesterday i was playing & these 2 little kids were watching & then whipped out their ds but we didnt play with each other ((i was too shy & also i am not proficient in spanish)) but ya we didnt visit each others town so if i can get a villager from them just by being near them then idk.

its happened to me a couple plot resets ago that i would keep getting the same guy a FEW times & then someone else i dont want would show up for a bit then first guy & then random ones, but gayle has shown up like Too many times @ this point so i am like ........?

If you have street pass on and they had a villager just move out, then they could move into your town

Lesson of the day I learned the hard way many, many times:

If you do not want a random StreetPass villager to move in... If you have less than 10 villagers-

Turn StreetPass Off for Animal Crossing. Find the options in settings. You can still StreetPass for other games, but no more random move ins in Animal Crossing.

You probably got gayle from street pass or someone's void. Sadly, there's nothing you can do about it, other than hope she moves out quickly.

if you haven't connected with anyone it should be alright and you should be able to get different villagers, but if you streetpassed those kids (you should have gotten a notiflication about it) she will probably have to move in ):
