I can't seem to get a sure answer on this but I really need to know. I asked in the questions thread but I got a reply that didn't exactly answer me with a yes or no, so I'm trying for a thread in hopes of getting an answer because it's important to me:

Can a villager move out on you while you are plot resetting over the course of several days?

I haven't loaded up my mayor ONCE since the day the villager put his plot down, and the villager is still showing up AS a plot and his house isn't there. However, the in-game date has been changing daily as normal. Does this mean anything? Since the villager I'm resetting is still a plot, can I end up missing a move-out request, or does the fact that he's still a plot stop villagers from moving?

It honestly depends on whether the incoming villager will be your tenth or ninth villager in town. If you were down to eight villagers and this new villager will be your ninth, then no one will move until after the villager officially moves in. However, it's tricky if the new villager will be your tenth. I think it depends on whether or not a villager was already thinking about moving before the plot showed up, but I'm not 100% sure. I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful with this.

He's my 10th villager ahhh now I'm super worried.

Oh I don't know... I always keep my game on the same day until I get the plot. I heard something along those lines though yesterday on here and as I always do the plotting on one game day, I was wondering how you would lose someone... I would think if the days are still clocking and you have enough villagers that one would normally move out, I guess it could happen :(

See, I didn't think they could move out...
How I thought it worked was the villagers who may move gets chosen when loading the game but when plot resetting you don't completely load the game so no villager would be selected.
I have always assumed you have to fully load for it to register or whatever you want to call it.

I never had one move out while I was plot resetting, and I did it for quite a while until I gave up because I couldn't get it right.
I don't know, don't hold me to it but I never had anything bad happen like losing villagers

I don't think a villager would move. Since you're keeping your game on the same day, no villager would be in boxes unless they already were.

In in game date changes with every day, though, which is what makes me nervous. The villager I'm resetting is still showing up as a plot, though.

When youre in the "moving in" phase, the "moving out" phase cant begin. Villagers start moving out once the last villager built there house and completed moving in.

I've plot resetted for a 10th for two weeks straight before. No one moves since the game knows someone is plotting. It's okay!

They will not think of moving until you start up your game. I plot reset Molly for three days and finished today. Bam just told me he wants to move in five days (Hun you've lived right next to me and ive been your ladybro for two years, you can't leave!) so I just said no. They don't consider moving until you start the game and the plot is set but will not move while a plot is set to come

I hope so! I'm honestly getting so sick of plot resetting I want to give up. I feel like he's NEVER going to go where I want him to and I should quit trying. He keeps going in the exact same four spots over and over and over again and never gets closer than 3 squares away from where his house should go. It's upsetting me.

Have you triple checked where u want him to go? Like more than one space away from a cliff/river. No rocks can be right beside the house. No pwps can be in that one space perimeter. ((Including the one space perimeter around a pwp). Have to have 2 spaces, including corners, between villagers/character houses. Best of luck. Plotting can be very tedious work. Believe me. I know. I have an exact straight line of villagers in my town. Took me months.
