Plot reset trick is not working for me?

So today I have a new villager moving in and so first thing I did was to start up with a new character. The plot wasn't in the place I wanted so I quit without saving and started a new character. But the plot was in the same place! I've repeated the same thing 3 times now but the plot was in the same place. (And just to let you know, I've only started with a new save file, never saved, and the plot is there, not a villager in boxes or anything like that).

I TT once when impatient during a plot reset and the fence turned into a house. No matter how I traveled, I couldn't move it. Yes, I used the new save file.

You're right. It finally did move but not in the right place. This is so frustrating. :\

I know exactly how you feel It is not a fun process; sometimes they land in a great spot quickly, but that's luck.

Try to have patience, I know how you feel. I wish I had done it for longer so that my villagers' houses would be aligned but I was just so frustrated with it that I was happy to even have them in the same area.

Alas, still, just a few more villagers to go. *sigh*

Eh, I've tried this a few times and didn't notice any difference. Doesn't actually work (at least not for me) :/

This definitely worked for me, It takes a lot of time, but I think this guide is definitely the way to go.
