plot reset question

i'm currently trying to plot reset a villager that's moving into my town, but do i have to get them in the area i want within 24 hours? can i just keep resetting or will the move in the spot they reserved at 6 am the next day? (i don't think i'll need more than a day to plot reset, but this is just in case & for future reference! thanks)

If your mayor has saved before 6.00 AM the date he is meant to move in, and you know how to plot reset, just keep creating a new character (6.00 AM will come and go), and save when the villager is where you want them.

Nothing is permanent until your mayor loads the game after 6.00 AM.
