Plot reset gone wrong, HELP

Okay so I had a feeling I had a new villager move in today, so i made a new character ( to plot reset if needed ) sure enough the house (with Francine) was located in a stupid spot so i reseted. But when I "came back" her reserved plot is no where to be found. I've looked trough my entire town. And plot resetted again.. Still no reserved plot to be found..

is she gone or..? XD I'm scared to go into my mayor character, maybe she'd pop back in a random place.

If you're plot resetting in random villagers, I've had this happen before; A couple of resets there was a plot and the next there wasn't. I usually saved on that particular day if I didn't find a plot to give myself another day to look for a specific villager rather than leave it to luck.

Was it supposed to be a random move-in? Or adopted/campsite?

If it is random, then it's most likely because you are down to 8 villagers. There is a chance for a plot today, but not 100%. Since you resetted, the next plot will most likely not be Francine, but another villager. If you are missing a certain personality in your town, the random move-in will most likely be of that personality.
There is a chance for a plot today, and if there isn't there is a higher chance tomorrow.

If Francine was adopted or from the campsite, what happened to you is a strange occurrence... It could be she will then move in tomorrow.

This was not an adoptable. Randomly moved in. She is indeed a personality type i don't have in my town already, but now I'm sad if she's gone xD I've plot reseted 3 times and no house is seen..

Yeah. You might want to save on the new character when there is no plot. There is a higher chance for a move-in tomorrow, so plot resetting should be easier then!
But don't start up with your Mayor first, since there is still a (low) chance for a plot XD

Hmm.. I've heard that you can't plot reset villagers who randomly move in - like, as you said, if you do/try to, they disappear? Apparently you can only plot reset villagers who have been "adopted". There may be a new villager move in as she was a random one, but again - I'm not sure.

But good luck getting Francine back! If she doesn't randomly move back in, I could help you get her as an actual "adopted" villager?

Well you could keep plot resetting to get a villager you want?
