plot reset D:

Hi T____T

I've been meaning to plot reset Genji so I've been TTing back to stay on the same day for a bit. I finally got down to plot setting him today so I set the time to 5:58AM the next day and started a new file. I see the plot, but it's been in the same exact spot 5 times now. I'm wondering, is there a possibility that I somehow locked the position of the plot by holding it off? Or am i just that unlucky?

I'll continue resetting meanwhile T___T

You're just unlucky right now. Merengue literally tried to plant her house RIGHT BEHIND MINE and crush all of my Sweets items that I had laying there, and it was like she was freaking magnetized to that spot, but I FINALLY got her to go somewhere else where she wouldn't ruin items. Just keep trying, he WILL gravitate to a different spot; but be careful, even if you don't like it he might go back to his original spot. They seem to be very picky if they're 10th villagers.

I found that if I login the mayor too close to 6am it becomes 6am before you quit and the plot is stuck. this happened to me with Merengue. I try to login my mayor at like 5:56 am and then just be ok with the first login by the player reset character might not have the plot yet.

I haven't had any trouble with this but that's because I'm like fast as fast can be with this crap and end up having to wait to make the new char even at 5:58 because I go through the process so fast yAy
But, if you took 3 minutes to save then it might be locked xD;;; I'd say keep trying though. Cause Merengue did try to fake me out like that and I almost gave up too.

I'd say give it at least 10 tries? Like if you save and quit RIGHT AWAY you're absolutely fine, but if you left it for a little it might've gotten stuck. So just see how it pans out, I know it can be frustrating. ]:

I recently had the misfortune of spending two days plot resetting Rolf. He'd always gravitate to two spots, so I TT'd a day backwards and then placed an alternate resident house in one area and a PWP in the other. It still took me a long time to plot reset him, but he thankfully stopped moving to those two specific spots.

you can TT back when they going to plot? it doesnt count as another day and cement their spot? how does that work exactly?

The game doesn't register it as a new day because a "new day" starts at 6AM. If you never enter/save at 6AM of a day, the game won't see you TTing a day back as a new day - it will count it as the same day.

For example:
Today is 4/5. Teddy is supposed to move in 4/6 (tomorrow.) I set the time to 4/6 5:58AM on my mayor. He keeps moving to the same spot. I set the day back to 4/5 (afternoon to be safe) and place a PWP down where he moved in a lot (doesn't matter if you pay for it or not). I then set the time to 4/6 5:58AM on my mayor again. Teddy won't move into the spot with the PWP anymore.

EDIT: By TTing a day backwards like this, you'll be able to see if Genji is REALLY there for good or if it' just a fluke - his plot will be down already and you won't be able to put a PWP down.

ah i see, so as long as your MAYOR file doesnt register 6AM you're good. So if I want to check I just go back to the previous day and see if its still no plot or if its registered as another day. I see I see. I'll try a couple more times and then check. T____T I dont want to check T____T What if its true T____T

Honestly with a dreamie I wouldn't just trash it because they moved into a bad spot but that's just me x:

I'm kinda OCD with my placements xD Lucky is like one grid point off and it drives me mad.

Genji's like in an awkward corner wedged between the cafe and the cliff, but he's a few spaces up from the edge too so he's kinda just like floating there

Ohhh I see. :c Good luck! ): I was lucky that Merengue moved somewhere else on my 5th try, but I have heard it takes some people hours of doing this to get them in the right spots.

and he actually moved right next to kabuki which is what i was hoping for to begin with T___T
