I was going to plot reset but when you start the game up, it shows you a preview of your town. I see the plot in literally the perfect spot. If I load up my game on my mayor, would the plot still be in that spot, or will it change? I know that if I make a new character, the plot would change, but I've never tested with loading up on an existing character. Does anyone know if the plot would be in the same spot as the preview?

Never ever trust what main screen says... ever...
It will always show I have a camper or it's raining ((I think it's pretty when it rains o.o)) or something along those lines, but when I load up with my mayor, or any alt characters, it is never like that in the game. =/
And one time showed me a plot that I had a new villager when I had my old town ((before I even knew about resets)) and saw it was in a really good spot! ... Load it and it was Lucha 4 spaces away from my front door. >.>

Thanks! Guess it's back to plot resetting for me ;-;

But... it has only happened that ONE time to me where it has shown a plot on the main screen. And I could have just been really unlucky that day.
So, it could be possible that it could still be in the same spot.
But, I would plot reset just in case if you really worry about where villagers go.

The plot likes to destroy my forest 90% of the time so I don't think I want to gamble on it >:

Every time I've ever seen a plot on the preview screen, it moves places when I boot up a new character
Don't risk it.

No, it won't guaranteed be in the same spot. Your day is determined (plots, campers, etc.) when Isabelle prepares your town and the game saves.

Yeah, I'm going to just keep plot resetting just in case. If it appeared in the spot I wanted twice on the preview screen, it has to go there eventually for a new character, right? D:

Don't trust the loading screen lol Once I thought Blanche in a good spot from loading screen, but when I accidently loaded in my mayor, she is right in front of my re-tail...

It will, just don't risk and go with new character =x the plot will soon or later be at your desire spot xD

I actually saw this with Deli this morning. His plot was in a terrible place on the loading screen though, so I didn't even dare with my mayor.

From experience, I can say that when I was resetting for my town, it did show me a town with peaches--which is what I got. BUT sometimes it shows villagers outside, who are then inside when I load the game. I think it gives you false hope on purpose. >.<

Good news is, if you like the spot, you now know it's possible for the plot to go there through resetting. c:
