Hey guys!
Over the past few weeks or so, it's becoming evident that New Horizons news is imminent (Isabelle's Twitter transitioning to New Horizons, the website update etc...) so I think we can safely estimate that we should get some news early December, with the official Animal Crossing Direct coming in around January.
As we approach New Horizons, I was thinking that to try and help the countdown to the next batch of news, we should revisit an older Animal Crossing game: Wild World!
I will be starting a new town in Animal Crossing: Wild World from December the 1st to January the 1st - one month and one month only, and on each day (in a separate thread that I will create) I will post what happens on each day in a 'The Roost' format - which used to be a thing on another Animal Crossing forum. Essentially, you order a drink from Brewster as if you are on a beverage break living in your town, and just talk in character about what happened in your town that day.
However, I don't want to do it on my own, I would like as many people as possible (obviously only if you want too!) to join in, so that many people will be posting in 'The Roost' thread I create each day, from December 1st to January 1st. Obviously, you don't have to post every day, although that would be great! The best thing about it is that by the time this trip back down memory lane is finished, we will be even closer to New Horizons and possibly just days away from a New Horizons Direct!
There are no rules - you can either jump back into your old town that you left 5 years ago, or start a-fresh, which is what I will be doing. Starting fresh is recommended though because the experience will be more immersive for everyone. Let me know below if you plan on participating, so that I can let all of you know when I open 'The Roost' thread, which I will create a day or two before the 1st of December. Have fun!
