Okay so...
I am in a sticky situation. I will be visiting my stepmom and dad for a month or so this Summer. I don't want to bring my 3DS because I have a fear that it may break like the last one. But a villager may move and everything will be a hot mess. So I have a few questions in mind. I need advice!

What can break my 3DS? What do I have to avoid?
What can I do to make sure nothing happens to my 3DS?

How to prevent my 3DS from breaking
How can I prevent my 3DS from breaking, specifically the charger port (what you plug the 3DS charger into, it's inside the 3DS.)

How to prevent this all from happening altogether
How can I get villagers NOT to move?!

Any other advice???!!!!

Thank you! :(

I don't think its too hard to not break your 3ds hehe ^v^ have it in a protective case and dont tug too much on the charger and try to not lose your stylus :D

What? Why would it break? I've had my 3DS for four years and it's in perfect condition.
Just don't **** around with it and you should be fine.

Drops from tall heights and/or onto hard surfaces can break your 3ds (although usually it'll just crack the casing somewhere) and obviously spilling liquid on it somehow. Honestly just be careful with it and it'll be fine - get a case for it if you don't have one already. I've never experienced problems with the charger port breaking on any of my DS's so idk what specifically would cause that problem, again just be gentle with it, maybe don't use the system while it's charging to avoid wiggling the cable the around?

About the villagers, if you're not gonna bring your 3DS after all, just stop playing on a day when you stop someone from moving and then you can quit playing however long you want and no one can leave (I do this all the time since I don't play acnl with anything resembling regularity anymore)

to keep villagers from moving out, reject (or approve, it doesn't matter) a move-out request before vacation! then stop playing until your vacation's over.
good luck! c:

If you carry a purse or a bag of some sort just keeping it in there when you're not using it should be enough. Also of course having a case. I've never broken a portable game system in my life so I don't know how you're doing it but yeah. Just keep it in a safe place when not in use. Don't leave your charger hanging out around the house.

I think you'd be better off just leaving your 3ds at home and just denying a move-out request on the last day you play before you leave.

You can bring a bag to store the 3DS or get one of those 3DS hand bag to carry it around and leave in when you're finished playing and so on. Try not to drop it or let other people flimsy play around with it, and becareful where you place it. Maybe avoid uneven room temperatures too and clean it every once in awhileeee

you don't haaaaaave to end on a day when someone is denied moving out so long as you just remember the last day that you played! write it down and set it aside with the 3ds.... I did this for my last hiatus

once you come back you TT back to that day first and foremost, then you find the day when a villager pings to leave and you deny their request. right after that you save and then TT to the current day....

so yeah same premise as the others, but a little different
