I like Booker, and I'd put it to the left of the train station

Definitely booker.
I went with him and he's so cute and funny. Plus, I like the look of the classic police station better than the modern.
As for placement, I second TeddysMama711.

Thanks guys do you guys think its worth demolishing my fountain for? Or would right of the placement be ok too? I'll have to place and see I guess.

Either north of the plaza or west of the plaza.

Copper is a straight-forward serious pup who mans the modern police station. Booker is a lazy stutterer who mans the classic police station. Ultimately, I think it's the police station design that matters though. Not sure why people pick them based on which policedog has it...

Anyway, go with which one fits your town better! If your town is older-styled, go with Classic!
If your town is more modern-looking, go with modern!

Well if you put it by the train station you won't be able to put it to the right because of the cobblestone (and you'd be blocking main street lol) where is your fountain?

I meant between that and the mayor house, lol! The fountain is below my message board and to the right a bit with a yellow bench

Ok, I looked at the places and I decide right of the train station upclose to the pavement/tracks as close as possible and I went with classic. Will post a pic if anyone is interested. Thanks for the help and ideas!

Next to your mayor's office . I went with modern the classic one looks like an outhouse to me lol.
