Okay, so when I open up my 3DS, it connects to the internet, but it does this really lovely thing where it lies to me and says I cannot connect to the internet, therefore I'm unable to log into Nintendo 3DS servers.

Makes me feel great. So, now all my saves are frozen, as I cannot log in.

When I'm in the friends list, it tells me the area code 001-0502.

Internet browser works, store works, but friend list doesn't work...

Plis halp

Idk maybe someone broke into your home and messed with your 3ds connection and messed u up so big that you think the universe is a big mud puddle

Did this only start today?

Nintendo has been doing maintenance on their servers so that may be the reason.

I did the Google thing:

"Apparently this is caused due to a Spotpass error and it could last from a few days, to weeks, to even a month. Apparently Spotpass has an error in which whenever it tries to tag someone nearby it doesn’t, and for some reason this affects your friend list and your ability to go online in games. The solution was to wait a few days (A whole week for me) until the person who you tagged into your Spotpass arrives. Today I only met one person through Spotpass, but another person was already on my collection out of nowhere whom I've not seen before, in which I apparently met A WEEK AGO but I never saw him. After this event, I went home and tried to get online. I was online on my friend list and I could get online in Pok?mon Y. I hope this information is useful and I hope Nintendo patches this bug. To all with this problem, hang in there!"

I hate to say it, but that is almost certainly not the case, as I never leave my house. ._.

Do you have spotpass on?????? You get spotpass without leaving your house. You may be mixed up with streetpass

Maintenance is scheduled for 11 PM to 3 AM in CST I believe.

Ah. That would make sense, as I logged in this morning. I love you much. Thanks for the help. <3. I've transferred 150 TBT bells to your account for the great help you've provided me. <3

If everything is set for PST, wouldn't it make sense for CST's maintenance to take place from 1 to 5 AM CST? I don't think they're doing maintenance at different times for different time zones, they're just giving the times in PST (unless I'm missing something?).

The 1-5PM would make more sense, seeing as I left at 11:30 to go on a date with a girl, came home, and it was broken ;-;

Idk I think I'm just confusing myself unnecessarily lol.

Hopefully it gets fixed! If it does, it doesn't really matter what the cause is, I suppose (unless it becomes a recurring issue).

Actually... Maybe you're right. I may have looked at it wrong. I thought it was showing different times for west coast and east coast but I guess not. Now I'm confused too.

But if it was working earlier today and it isn't now I think it still most likely has to do with the maintenance that is supposed to take place in the afternoon and also in the evening today. It's possible the servers in some regions are not being rolled out entirely on schedule.

And the problem persists... I'm still unable to log into wireless networks. :(
