PLEASE help - Dreamie moving out

She said that because I tapped in Lopez and told him to move to my town but it was full so he replaced Merry.

Huh, that is super weird then - I don't have any amiibo access so I didn't get Flo in with amiibo nor did I move anyone else in. I got her from someone else who ammibo'd her in, but I doubt that would have any effect once she's in my town-

Dragging this back up because I have another question!

The tenth villager requires collecting them from someone else, i.e some form of online play, yeah? Is there a rule like this for the ninth villager if the tenth has been obtained? See, I just got Bill to move out and my original plan was to put Stitches in his place - literally since I want their houses to be in the same spot, but would a ninth move in without me having to go online to get one? So I can relax with furiously lurking on the Villager Trading Plaza and use the ninth (and eighth) spot for my cycles? I have other villagers I am okay with moving out and I know the last one to move in rarely pings, but having both the ninth and eighth spot cycling with ones I don't care much for without having to actively collect them would be a big help for me.

I didn't see anyone reply to this, so if you're still looking for the answer, yes, if you have 8 villagers the game will give you a random 9th even if you never go online. Sometimes it takes a few days, I've heard of people that went with 8 for more than 10 days. But someday the 9th will come for sure. If you don't want to start everyday plot resetting so their house doesn't ruin everything (it's a pain...), I'd advise you to quickly adopt a 9th villager, at least this way you can choose who they are and where they'll go, since you'll know when to plot reset. :)

Once Bill moves out I'll be sure to set out the paths and like the up for where I'd wanted Stitches to go when I do finally get him. That'll give villagers who are moving in two places to go - the Stitches plot or the Flo plot. The rest of my town is covered with my flag atm aha. It's a right mess but it's handy for plot resetting. Thank you for the tip! :)
