Plaza Design Question

I have a design on the ground of my plaza. Does that stop Redd and Katrina from coming to my town? Because no one has set up there in a few days and I am wondering if it is affecting it. Thanks.

It doesn't. They will remove the patterns just like a house does when it is placed.

Ohh maybe i should do that with my plaza. Just gotta find a design i like. Any ideas on where i can look? Any links or such? Thanks.
