Does anyone else do this? I've got a cycle town right now filled with over half of my dreamies, but I like so many villagers that my dreamies change from time to time..... I also think the fun gets seeped out when you just get them all right away. So once I get my new town started (preferably with a few villagers I like and pears), I'm going to go back to the old fashioned way of taking what the campsite gives me.

sadly.. i have more fun in my cycle town than in my main town

my main town map is pretty awesome and aligned so perfectly that it makes me paranoid to play it in case someone moves out without telling me... ruining the perfection

whereas my cycle town, i dont care how many ponds there are, locations of the shops, who the villagers are... and I actually have more fun.

I don't have dreamies, really. I have my permanent villagers (Pietro, Rosie, Pudge, Julian) that will never move out, then the villagers that I really like but might not keep forever. I think it's more fun to change your villagers around occasionally.

Yeah its crazy. I get the same vibe with my cycling town...

I am so jealous! I want a cycle town too! I have the same paranoia about losing my Dreamies! I would love to go back to the days of just being excited about who's in the campsite and will move in to town next!! :lemon:

Yup, I think only 2 villagers that I've consistently wanted to have since day one are Drift and Zucker otherwise I think I'd be fine with quite a few others. The biggest problem for me has been finding Cranky characters that fit in with my other characters (I find quite a bit of them just seem creepy with their deep voices...).

While I do have villagers that I like from a design standpoint that I'd LOVE to get, I don't go out of my way to get them and just grab whoever shows up in the campsite. I also make it a rule that the only time I'll let a villager move is if I have more than one villager with the same personality type.

The exception is with my two peppies, Bonbon and Sprinkle, because I love both of them to death, and it'd be hard to let either of them go.

I have dreamies and they're all permanent villagers, and I also don't have a second copy so...but maybe I would like to try this if I ever get back into the game and if I buy a new copy.

I have campsite nostalgia myself...

This is why I'm glad I don't have 10 set dream villagers. I have a couple, but I'm happy to take what the game gives me for the most part.

Cycle towns give a certain freedom main towns don't so I guess thats why it can feel funner sometimes to be in the cycle town instead.

Kinda like how when you play sims you have the family you legit take care of and follow the rules with and you have another you wreck, destroy and use cheats on at your leisure.

I didn't have "dreamies" when I started out. I mostly just found some villagers that randomly moved in/moved in from the campsite appealing, so they never get to leave.

Well it's not really a problem for me because I don't worry about my villagers moving out. As long as I play most days and am thorough enough about checking, it will most likely never happen. I don't know if this is weird or not but I've never gotten bored of my villagers in any Animal Crossing game as long as I am happy with all of them. Maybe it's because I have few set dreamies that I actively look for and the rest are villagers I grow attached to and decide to keep. If anything, I find it depressing and want to play less if one of my favourites moves out.

I agree with your few sets of dreamies and keeping some that grow on you. I'd say that's how it basically goes for me!

Playing without cycling first to find my dreamies was great.
I found Claudia, Julian, Sheldon, Phoebe, Winnie, Tia, Snake, and others! Villagers I didn't even know existed. Some (Sheldon mostly) I found hideous quickly grew on me. I really think I base my "dreamies" on experience now rather than looks. (This was before I joined TBF)

I don't really have dreamies that I need to get. I have one maybe two people in my town who I would be really sad if they moved out (Velma & Beardo) because somehow I bonded with their little pixelated forms. For the most part, half of the fun is seeing who will show up next.

Man, I'm actually a huge fan of Beardo too! But he went through my cycling town so he's long gone...

Sheldon is actually one of my favorite Squirrels-Jocks, his interior house design is one of my favorites! Ya sadly I'd say TBF has had an effect on villager likeness for me also...

At first I didn't have many dreamies, but after I reset, I kind of found it fun seeing which dreamie I could find next. Felt a bit like gambling to me, heheh. Except with less consequences.

I gotta say though, the campsite is soooo underrated. I just wish the tent matched better with the trees and stuff. I really don't like orange mixing with green (tree's and grass). I guess that will be my main focus, to make a beautiful campsite!

I think having a few dreamies is def worth it. But having a complete list (when there are so many villagers to have) kinda ruins the fun of the game...

There are a lot to have. Having a few is def. worth it. c: It all depends on how you play the game, too.
