I've been playing this off and on since last Christmas. A friend is going to start playing it as well. I'm wondering how people feel about living in the same town versus buying a second copy and them having their own town.

I suspect my friend won't care that she isn't the mayor, so that isn't a factor.

I noticed that players from other towns cannot donate to your museum, which seems odd to me, and is a big negative for me. Part of the fun would be to donate to each other's museums. The museum actually tracks who donates what! I'd love to know who made this (poor) decision and why.

The main positive of having two copies is that we could play at the same time, and even in the same town if we desired. Otherwise, living in the same town seems to be the best.

Opinions?

Try using the same copy. If you don't like it you can import the non-mayor to a new game so you guys have separate games.
