Platinum Starter Pokemon

Wich one should i choose as my starter pokemon for pokemon platinum????

Anyways, I voted turtwig, because he is really good in the beginning of the game, unlike piplup, who has very low attack.

I picked Piplup and beat the game with relative ease.

Well, it depends. I would go for Chimchar or Piplup.

Chimchar is one of the only fire types around in the game before the elite four. I find fire types quite useful throughout the game, so I might choose this Pokemon.

Piplup has very few weaknesses in its fully evoled state, Empoleon. It is only weak to ground, fighting, and electric, which can prove to be quite valuable.

Though in the process, some traits have been flawed.

Torterra shouldn't be hurt by fire as much as he is in my opinion. He's part ground, thus rendering fire type attacks to be normal effectiveness.
Empoleon shouldn't be easily taken out by ground type moves, since it's part water.
Infernape..... Just has more weaknesses of them all.

infernape is good against empoleon cause fire is regular because of steel, and fighitng is super effective cause of steel

Like a previous post, just because certain starters can beat others, doesn't mean the trainer will be fighting starters all the time.
