*shivers* There's also a possibility of.... casual games. First Nintendo and now Microsoft is trying to get casual gamers.... it's only a matter of time.
*sigh* There's NOTHING wrong with casual games.
1. They are made for non gamers. There's the biggest problem.
2. It would be fine if there was only a few of them, but if they one day become the vast majority of games, then gamers would just be getting a big kick in the balls. Gamers come first. Non gamers come last.
You probably only like the old video games because they are "classics"

Have you even played any of the new platformers?

Yes, I got a wii years ago hoping for hardcore Nintendo, but got none, and what new platformers? Even on the wii the platforming numbers are slim. I don't just like classic games, classic games may be my favorite type of games but the gamecube, ps2, ps3, not the wii, all have great games. The wii has moderate games that make a hardcore gamer playthrough the game once, and never pick up the game again for a very long time. I like fun games with good replay value and good difficulty. Which is why classic games are my favorites, the only reason I even play my wii is for virtual console and wii-net while my casual wii games gather dust.

I remember when Nintendogs was the only "real life simulation" game out on the DS.

*sigh*

Man, I could get started and rant all day about how casual gamers/games are killing the industry, but I won't. It's starting to get waaaaaaaaaaaaay off topic.
