Planting question.

WHY ARE MY HIBISCUS BUSHES WITHERING?! So as a decoration in my town I thought it would be nice to plant them in line with my paths. Most of them are fine but there is a small fraction of about 7 of them that will not grow. There is nothing there apart from flowers and some of them have fully grown with trees behind them so I'm confused of how to not let them wither? They're not by any ponds or rivers which is making it more confusing. Someone please help!

you can only place a certain amount of bushes next to eachother

I have 7 in a row and the 8th is not growing at all.

The limit includes trees. You cannot have more than 12 living plants (trees and bushes) touching. It's a way to avoid people boxing in their villagers. So if you have trees up against those bushes they count in the 12.

This problem can also happen if you planted them all at once. Sometimes they'll be overcrowded and wither, even if you dig up the wilted bushes and replant them it'll happen again. It happened in my last town:



What you need to do is dig up all of the bushes in that line of 12 and plant them again, one per day. Also double check to make sure that you're keeping in line with the rule of 12. Hope this helps!

This is correct. Like in real life, the crops will not grow if it is so crowded it cannot reach the sunlight.

That's probably why. I did plant them all at once. Do I'll try that.
