Buying Pikmin hats?

I'm new to the 3ds and new leaf, but I used to play wild world, but I'm still pretty noobish to the game. I've been saving up my bells, but I have no idea how much pikmin hats are worth.

Pikmin hats are special items gained by a fortune cookie, they sell for like 1,000 bells.
