Pictures are brutal

oh last I checked you couldn't get a photo from hand gifting fruit so it's if that's possible again that's great! but yes I believe there is a slightly higher chance if you do the fruit stack trick (details here)

It works but a single fruit has a too low sell value. Like mentioned it needs to be 750+ bells in sell value.

You can still get a photo from normal hand gifting, I got one just a few minutes after posting this thread. But does the fruit stack trick have a higher chance?

Like someone said, you can get a photo by giving a more expensive gift but not from a single wrapped piece of fruit anymore, which is what many people were gifting in order to keep their villagers “original”

A wrapped stack of fruit is calculated to be the full value of the stack now and not just the fruit by itself. Example wrapped a stack of 2 non-native fruits counts as 1000 Bell gift instead of 500 bells. The key different is that the stack needs to be wrapped for them to take the whole stack.

Like what others have said, the fruit stack trick works. I've been giving my villagers 10 gift-wrapped non-native fruit and I got 3 pics (Ken, Octavian, Vic) in a span of 5 days.

Yess, I just meant the unwrapped one, but ty for clarifying.

The fruit stack trick has worked for me. Zucker was a pain though and it took ages after being able to change his greeting that he gave me his photo.

Diana gave me her photo yesterday when I gave her 3 apples wrapped up and I'm sure I haven't even changed her greeting yet so I was surprised by that.
For the ones I haven't received photos of yet, I'm going around giving them wrapped non-native fruit of at least 3 wrapped up. Then doing the thing where you stack up lots of coins in your inventory.

Really? I didn't think it was 😲 Or, wait... I think it WAS possible but they've since changed it. When did you get those pics?
Also, here's the link to the really helpful thread!

But, seriously, stack method. It's really easy (just fill your inventory with 100 bell stacks) and WORKS.

Yes, the stack method works! I've gotten 6 villager pictures and only one of them was not from the stack method. I once got 2 pictures in one day.

I've been playing for almost 800 hours now and between my two towns I have never gotten a villager's picture ; w ; I honestly haven't thought to follow a guide but it seems impossible when you don't.

Wow that sounds tiring! One day I hope to collect all my villager's photos but right now I'm just going with the flow and see if they naturally give it to me, but will probably do that method too eventually. I've only gotten one villager pic so far (Diva's), and she gave it to me after I completed a request for her- She wanted me to catch her an ocean fish so I gave her a shark and she gave me her pic!

I haven’t gotten a single photo either. But then again, I haven’t really been trying to get them either.

I've received 12 (or 13) so far. They're difficult to get, but worth it when it happens.
