Petitions! What do you think?

So I just got my first petition today titled 'Hair-Ball Emergency Center'. What do you guys think of this new feature? Do you find it frustrating when it comes to not only finding people to visit but then connecting over the internet with them? Or do you enjoy the hunt and find the overall quest easy? Also if you're given a petition does this mean you're villager sees you as a close friend?

As for me I've found it difficult to find enough folks to participate. Plus throughout my enjoyment of Animal Crossing connecting can be a struggle (mainly at Club Tortimer). Too bad you can't use the Dream Suite! That way you could easily find towns to retrieve the signatures and the other mayor would be at ease because town editing goes unsaved.

Hope no one minds me advertising this but if anyone has the time and wants to help fulfill it let me know! I just need five more villagers to sign and I'd really appreciate it!

If I weren't running out in a few minutes, you could come by me to get signatures. I'm sure you'll find someone.

I like the feature because fulfilling the villager's request for petition is a good way to get their picture. Make sure when you get all the signatures to save the game before giving the signed sheet back to the villager that requested it. If you don't get their picture as a reward, resetting several times usually gets the villager to give you their picture.

Petitions always make me laugh, they're always really silly. xD With the exception of a couple times, I nearly always finish my petitions since my brother also owns a copy of AC, so I just hit him up to let me in his town even if it's really late. The good thing about that is my wifi is especially unstable, so being able to do nearby traveling without dcing constantly is a plus.

Thanks so much for your kindness everyone! You're all so helpful! I do have a quick question, do I need signatures from one villager in six towns or just six villagers in one town? My brother also has the game so I might be able to avoid bugging any of you but I thought you needed it from six different towns.

Just one town. I usually just go to my boyfriend's town to do it. Its easier that way heh.

The petitions themselves are always amusing, and the feature itself is fairly interesting. I don't engage in online activity all that much, so I kind of like how this feature pushes me to take advantage of all the connectivity stuff a bit more. It gets me to visit more towns, and meet different villagers, which is a good thing c:

I really like the petitions! They're ridiculous and make me smile, and it gives me an excuse to visit and explore other towns and meet other villagers. My connection is pretty stable and never has had any problems, so I don't have to really worry about that, either.

The only thing that I don't like is the timing of when I've been given these petitions. I play throughout the day, and I always make sure to talk to all my villagers in the morning, which is when I usually help them with their tasks. I also usually sweep through the town right before I go to sleep, and if I meet anyone on the way, I always like to talk to them. Twice now, I've been given a petition request close to midnight even though I've talked to those people plenty of times throughout the day. I'm literally in bed at this point about to sleep and really not able to catch anyone online who can help me. At this point I usually just reset because I refuse to deny any sort of request.

I would find them frustrating but since there are a lot of great people here who can trust each other, I love the petitions! Fuchsia gave me one for no more makeup and she is still wearing her eyeshadow, lol.

I really enjoy the petitions. I love being able to help people out, especially because it adds to the number of people who have visited me

I also love being able to talk to other players' villagers!

I don't care for them. It's a lot of work for something that's just a meaningless task. My first one was to build a snack bar, and I thought it was a real thing--a public works project. I was disappointed when I returned the signed petition to Benedict, only to have him give me a chair as a reward.

Lopez had one called "Appreciating Hipsters". I told him no, and he was like "Gosh, I guess Appreciating Hipsters is going to be harder than I thought..." >: D

The names are cute, but I never have time to do them.

I kind of enjoy petitions. It gives me a reason to greet every person in another persons' town.

I think it's funny and cute but until recently I never had any way to fulfill it. I had only a few friends for AC and none were ever online when I was. I think it'll be easier now that I've discovered this forum though!

I think they're awesome. I love the names, ones like 'Garden Gnomes Have Rights.'
