Having the police station back would be nice in my opinion, maybe we can get the cops to permanently make a villager stop wearing an outfit then.

I'd love to have them back. And if they ever return, I see them being part of an upgraded Resident Services if the station will not have a separate building.

I only ever played New Leaf prior to ACNH, and I feel like they did not have much of a role in that game so I don't really miss them personally, though they both were really cute! But I also remember the police station exterior was really ugly and I had a hard time finding a place for it in my town lol

Maybe they’d be like beach combing for items where you can find semi-rare stuff.

They used to run the lost and found in new leaf, if you visited Copper (didnt have booker), he'd tell you if there was some visitor around from what I remember

Not much of a big role but that doesn't mean they can't get a bigger one in NH

This is actually a nice idea.

Or if they end up as visitors, they could just be making weekly island inspections. Then maybe we could have a investigation/mystery mini-game of sorts that involve our villagers.

For example, "Who stole Punchy's cake?" Then we go around asking villagers if they saw something, We piece together clues until we report back to them and point out the culprit.

In New Leaf they had a tiny station in your town where "lost items" would show up and functioned kind of like the recycling bin in NH. I think they did something else minor but I forget lol

They had no purpose for me in acnl other than to annoy me but Booker was kinda cute tho

I could be potentially interested in having them back if they would have an upgraded version of the one in NL, cause to be honest in NL for me at least they were a bit like meh, content wise. If they have more impact on the island and more ways to interact with them theeeeen i would also like to have them back . But they def would need a gameplay upgrade.

I agree, they were lacking in new leaf, but I like the characters and hope they get better mechanics
