So, with the Sanrio villagers making a comeback, you can bet that I'm for sure gonna replace some of my villagers with these guys along with revamping a large portion of my island. That being said, some of the villager personalities don't quite match with the villagers I'm willing to boot off of my island... Basically, I'm keeping Raymond, Sherb, Judy and Dom because they're unique villagers without Amiibo cards yet and I'm keeping Angus because he's my fav. As for the Sanrio villagers I'll be adding, they'll be Toby, Chai, Étoile and either Rilla or Chelsea, though probably Rilla.

But that leaves me with no Sisterly villager... I had Phoebe before and, once upon a time, I also had Muffy but, ultimately, none of the Sisterly villagers really strike my fancy that much. So in the end, I guess it comes down to... how do you guys feel about not having all the eight personality types on your island? Does it bother you or do you not even give it a second thought? Just kinda curious to see how y'all feel about repeating dialogue and such.

To be honest, i have like 4 normals, 2 peppy, etc. There’s no way I have all 8 lmao. I honestly don’t mind since i don’t really care about whatever benefits I supposedly get from having all 8- i keep the villagers i like. Just for that reason, and nothing else. My animal crossing island is for me to enjoy, and i don’t care about any like “rules” or “tips“ from online, i play how I want to. That being said, you may want to keep all 8 for any reason, that isn’t my business. However, i’d say let your heart tell you what to do on this one.

I absolutely have to have all personally types. Repeating a personality more than once is too much repetitive dialogue. There are so many crankies I want and it sucks because almost all of my favorite villagers are cranky but no room on the island.

I honestly hope you can get these villagers in the game ledgit the same way like all the others. They should appear on the nook miles islands and campsite if you're still doing villager hunting or if someone has one of the new villagers and they are moving out you should be able to retrieve them

My guess is that they will work similarly to how they work in New Leaf. You can only get them via the card (can’t be found naturally) and they won’t move to other peoples towns when they move out.
But the items at least should still be trade-able!

I don't have all 8 personalities mainly because I'm just not keen on the jock or sisterly personalities and there isn't really any villager with those personalities that I like enough to have on my island. The biggest downside to this is missing out on some reactions and more repetitive dialogue amongst the other personalities, I try and improve this by having a maximum of 2 villagers of any of the other personalities, though this might have to change with the Sanrio villagers as Etoile might be my third normal.
If you don't really like any of the sisterly villagers a lot then I'd say skip that personality, if you don't mind not having all 8 then pick the villagers you're most happy with.

Yeah because if it's locked behind a pay wall just to get the items that's going to make alot of people upset. I remember back in Pocket Camp had alot of furniture items but they costed alot of Leaf Tickets which are hard to earn in the game unless you buy them.

To me having one of each personality is essential.
I wish they would add 2 more personalities or that we could only have 8 villagers.

Not a huge fan of duplicates

I'm always cycling villagers in my town to give away. I don't have any current plans on having any of the Hello Kitty villagers, so I'd be happy to help you adopt any of them if you're unable to obtain the Amiibo cards.

The problem that has always annoyed me with the Sanrio pack is that they gave us two normal villagers (Chelsea and Etoile) when they could’ve definitely made one into a Sisterly. So in order to have both Chelsea and Etoile, I basically can’t really have another Normal villager on my island. And I’m not that fond of most of the Sisterly’s either, so it’s a shame that Nintendo and Sanrio didn’t take the opportunity to make what would likely have been the cutest Sisterly villager on the entire roster.

Currently, the only Sisterly villager I have is Hazel, but honestly the Sisterly dialogue doesn’t really interest me much. I think I would rather not have a Sisterly on my island at all. I might replace Hazel with a 2nd cranky, but so far my Island has actually every personality type with 2 each of Peppy and Lazy villagers.

And honestly, without a Sisterly, you probably wont even notice that you don’t have one. If you’re ever in need of Sisterly DIY recipes, it’s way easier to just scan an Amiibo and get DIYs from the campsite.

I try to always have all eight personalities just for the balance, but I also occasionally miss out on a personality if there's one villager I really want to move in. but I don't have a set lineup of villagers and people are always moving in and out so it's not as big of a deal to me I guess - if it was long term I would probably miss out on the missing personality, but it's down to you really!

This made me think... Wish these villagers had some unique dialogue based on their theme besides their personalities, so having more than 1 of the same personality wouldn't be a big deal.

I've had missing personalities on my island before and it seemed fine. I think you will be ok as long as you don't have more than two of the same personality. And I would imagine it will be very ok with you since you don't care for the Sisterly personality anyway. So why make yourself have a sisterly villager when there are others you would obviously rather have? :)

I think once you get all the initial reactions it really is only a matter of personal preference. I could
definitely seem myself going without a personality or two, esp cranky, long term. And in the short time I do all the time. I now mostly just choose based on the individual villager, though some personalities I can handle repeats more easily than others (ie peppy and normal and sisterly I really don’t mind having more than 2)

I only have 7/8 personalities currently, but that’s because I don’t really have dreamies, at least for now. I’m still letting villagers move on occasion and picking whoever looks fun from a dozen mystery island tours. So my personality balance is always shifting. Eventually I probably will want to settle on 10 who aren’t going to move, and I will make sure I have all the types then.
