Personality-Balanced Out Town

As I was looking back on my dream villager list I noticed out of them all I was missing two personalities; Jock and Cranky. Personally I'm not a huge fan of Jock nor Cranky so I was wondering is it possible to have a functioning town without one or two personalities? And if so then any suggestions on whom should I replace from my list?

Dream Villager List/Personalities:
1.Anabelle=Peppy
2.Chrissy=Peppy
3.Chops=Smug
4.Pietro=Smug
5.Punchy=Lazy
6.Beau=Lazy
7.Lolly=Normal
8.Marina=Normal
9.Deirdre=Uchi
10.Francine=Snooty

Potential Jock villagers I would add if I have to have one:
1.Roald
2.Cousteau

Potential Cranky villager I would add if I have to have one:
1.Wolfgang

You dont HAVE to have every personality.
The only thing you miss out on when not having a cranky/jock is the PWP's the suggest. If you're not interested in what they have to offer then go ahead without them.

Im considering giving up my only snooty once she suggests the modern street light thing.

What are the PWPs that each personality suggests? I don't like the jocks and lazy villagers, so I might consider don't having them in my village too, since it's not really necessary...

Vivid, I was totally in the same predicament you are. First I realized all of my dream villagers (aside from Bob and Beau, which I figured wouldn't happen) were girls. Then I realized they were all normal or peppy. So I sat down and figured out which villagers I liked in each personality and tried to make sure I had at least one in each personality type.

Like you, jock and cranky just didn't seem to appeal to me. I am still undecided as to whether or not I need a cranky villager. I let Apollo move earlier today and I don't regret it for a second because it opened up a spot for me to snag the snooty Ankha.

This is what I have come up with for my dream villagers list:
TANGY- peppy
Bob or Beau- lazy
Mitzi- normal
Lily- normal
Julian- smug
Henry- smug
Ankha- snooty
Phoebe- uchi
Sly or Cousteau- jock

italic means I already have that villager

Still don't know about a cranky villager...

Lolly - Normal
Erik - Lazy
Bangle - Peppy
Phoebe - Uchi
Ankha - Snooty
Zell - Smug
Bam - Jock
Bruce - Cranky

I already have the bold ones.
Eventually I will change them later on, when I get all the public work projects.
