Persona 5 The Royal / Persona 5 Scramble

I'm not sure if there is any persona fans on this site, but eh, I can dream.
So in the past year two new games have been revealed,
a complete overhaul of the og persona 5: p5 royal
and a sequel, persona 5 scramble.

Personally, i'm excited for both games, royal because we'll hopefully get more Goro development, and scramble because the new phantom thief, Zenkichi, looks like a cool character.

For any persona fans on this site, whats your opinion on the new games? Or even, whats your opinion on persona/the shin megami tensei series overall?

so i read spoilers for the royal regarding him and idk how to feel. im still excited to experience everything on my own though.

I LOOOVE PERSONA AND IM GLAD UR MAKING A PERSONA THREAD. i literally bought my ps4 to play persona 5. its also how my gf and i started talking!! was through persona and a mutual love of akira and akechi. the only other one ive played is the persona 2 games which are a time and also the hardest games ive ever played. i want to play the others and i plan to rom them after i finish phoenix wright.

i will do anything for goro akechi. i love the new counsellor character too, and i may have read spoilers about him,,, and i also love persona!! i stole my brothers ps4 to play p5, but i've also played 3 & 4 via an emulator, it was an emotional ride and im still crying over persona 3

PLEASE DONT IGNORE PERSONA 2!!! tatsuya is such an amazing protag (cant forget maya) and all the cast are full of such good characters (i still miss eikichi) and their friendship is so strong. the gameplay is really hard so id understand if you just watched a playthrough but persona 2 is so goodddd. i havent looked into og persona but ive heard its decent as well.

i've been planning to play p2 for ages now, i've just been downright lazy but i would lay down my life for tatsuya. hes babey!!!!

i wish i had akechi keychains lmao,, as far as persona merch goes i have 2 yusuke pins, a akiren pin, a yosuke pin, yosuke keychain and a yasogami high pin dfiof i need goro merch before my litle goro heart goes ham

I’m excited for both! Probably moreso for Scramble at this point as it’s a whole new experience, but also excited to see new content in The Royal. I hear the new content in 5R is mostly backloaded though, so I may be fast forwarding through a good chunk - 5 had some rather sloppy dialogue/storytelling bloat.

Im super excited for scrambke too! I haven't had the chance to play the demo yet but it seems to play quite well graphic wise, plus all the thieves new summer outfits are adorable!!! I hope Zenkichi plays well as a thief to, he seems super cool!
