Anyone else play this game? How are you enjoying it?

I got into the game near the beginning of August. So far I’m enjoying it though I think it could be even better, particularly the story and characters. I was pretty disappointed not to have an option to pick a female protagonist; I thought this was a good opportunity for them to try something new out or something they don’t often give us the option to do.

(Another thing that concerned me is how Yusuke’s voice actor had to be changed).

Some other questions that I have if you do play it; no pressure to answer if you don’t want though.

I've been playing P5X on the global server ever since it released! The way that it released left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth, especially the fact that there was no soft pity and that wasn't properly disclosed from the start and it felt like they started out being extremely greedy, especially compared to other gachas. I know people will say that gachas are greedy by nature, and they are, but some tend to be more generous than others and this one was definitely in the "others" category. However, I do think that they've been doing well in changing that and have I've been putting a bit more attention into the game in return.

To answer a few of your questions (not all bc I feel like I already answered some in my post and the others I can't rly think of a response for lol), my favorite Persona has always been Alice (I finally got to fuse her a few days ago!). A friend introduced me to the Persona series a long time ago and Alice was also her favorite and she showed me just how OP she can be and I just find her adorable!

The first five star I pulled (besides the standard characters, my first of those was Ann) was Marian! A friend told me to save up for her as much as possible so I did, mostly because I also really loved her design. Since then I've pulled for Chord, Seaside MOKO, and Futaba. In the future I'm 100% going to pull for Noir, Violet, Ange, and Berry but I may decide to pull for others on the way. I'm hoping to see Koromaru from P3 in the future, mostly for the interactions but also because I just love him!! > v <

When I first got into the game, I thought the story was pretty good, but the characters all seemed pretty bland, particularly the protagonist. I thought Shun was fairly interesting during the second palace at least. But as I continued playing, I feel like the story and characters continue to lack something that Persona 5/Royal had that I love. l know this normal since most gacha games don’t have a strong story.

1. I don’t have any, but if I had to pick one, I’d say it would be Shun. He interested me a bit before I completed the second palace. For some reason, I found him more interesting when I knew less about him.

2. Kira Kitazato - I like him so much more than the main characters; I feel like he has a bit more character and an interesting personality. I was a bit bummed to see he was not a persona user.

3. I think the characters are all pretty bland; I especially don’t like Motoha. None of their personas or their overall designs really stood out to me; I feel like they lack some inspiration that the personas in Persona 5 and probably the other persona games had (I say probably since I have only played P5/Royal).

4. I rarely used him in even Persona 5, but design wise, I really love Neko Shogun. I think the animations of him licking his paw is really cute and his whole design, since I love cats. As for Personas that I love(d) to use: I’d say it’d be Yo****une (don’t have him yet in this game).

5. As I mentioned, I did enjoy the story at first when I started playing, but now, not as much. I would enjoy it more if some of the units that in the story are persona-less, were phantom thieves instead of all of the characters we have now. I really am curious about the four star unit Sumi; then there is Kirazato who I think would be a great phantom thief (it’d be cool to have an adult phantom thief).

6. So far my favorite units are Futaba, Messa, Chord, Joker, and Morgana. I’m really enjoying Messa a lot; on top of that, I love the concept behind his design. I think it is pretty clever and fitting. I also really like Skull and Ann still. For four stars: if Sumi did more damage, he’d be my favorite. I’m not sure if I’d say Shun is a favorite, but he has helped carry me up until pretty recently and I think he’s still going to be helpful.

7. My first five star unit from a limited banner that I pulled was Joker from his rerun banner; my first five star from beginner and standard banner was Ann. My first five star weapon was Chord’s.

8. Next units I want are: Haru, Violet, Fox and maybe Akechi (even though I’ve read how disappointing he is). I love Persona 5 so much I might as well go for them all.

9. I’d like to see Akechi with Loki, hopefully a much better unit than the one that is currently out on the other server. I love “Dark Akechi’s” design much better and think he’d be so much fun to play (if they don’t screw his kit up). A better version of Sumi (the four star curse unit in standard banner).

Maybe Maruki even though he wasn’t a phantom thief.

10. I’ll come back to this one later.

11. I don’t like the Revelation cards since they remind me too much of the system in Genshin Impact with the artifacts. I want to be able to change main and sub stats but the ink is so rare. No way to guarantee or customize the sub stats. I wish we could do some farming and more content without needing stamina, and/or there was a way to get more free coffee. Stamina and stamina recover has always been really annoying to me when it comes to gacha games since I’d like to keep playing and natural stamina recovery always seems to take too long.

I play the game on my tablet and it crashes so much; I don’t have a lot on my tablet and it is still pretty new. Not sure if this is an issue with the game or what.

12. Since we have a drink recipe to replenish city life activity stamina, I’d like it if we could make some coffee to replenish regular stamina. They could limit the stock for the ingredients as they had with the tea. I’d like them to change the way the persona skill inheritance works since I waste so much medals and stamina trying to get a skill onto a persona. For revelation cards, give us something to be able to change the sub stats and make the material that let’s us change the main stat not so rare. I only have two of the ink so far, so I have to plan carefully who to use it on, and when I use it, I might get all substats I don’t need. Maybe get rid of the limit to farm for materials like joyful incense in the recollections or increase how many times we can play it.
