So, from the sounds of things, the only way to get Persimmons is to buy them from T&T Emporium or to get them from another player who has them.

I have not yet unlocked the T&T Emporium, nor have I EVER traded for them with another player.
Yet I have a Persimmon tree in my town???
And I just???
Don't even remember planting it???
Where did it come from??
I clearly MUST have obtained it some other way but I just have no idea how. Does anyone know if I've forgotten a way to get them? Because honestly, it's an absolute mystery to me. The tree is planted in a little corner that I never go to so I completely forgot it existed until I wandered over there earlier a couple of days ago and saw it. I'm so confused...

I think villagers can give you them.
Or maybe a guest planted it, that's what I would do if I wanted to be obnoxious.

I doubt it was a guest, as I usually stick with them. It was quite possibly a villager then. Thanks for your response!

Someone could have planted one in your town.
Its unlikely that a villager would plant one though.
